New for this week

HI! I've got a quick post as I hustle out the door to work today. A few new things and a shout out to Small Business Saturday and next week's Black Friday!

First up, our fabulous Linda made this card using the two Lil'Inker dies you see. I thought this was so cute and Linda is great at taking whatever Sharon leaves for her and turning it into a great card on the fly (something I can't do!)

Pretty Pink Posh has this die set that makes a great 3-D tree. Add a little foam tape and bling and you have a great card!

This is our Make n' Take for today and the rest of the week. We get a Heartfelt stamp set with coordinating die every month. Be warned, supplies are limited!

W+9 is getting into the Christmas spirit with this simple package die. A quick and easy card idea.

I believe this is Neat and Tangled's die. How cool! You can copy or create your own Christmas sweater design!

Lastly, I promised some great deals for Small Business Saturday AND Black Friday. Check our Facebook and e-mails for some of the deals Sharon has been working on. I know we have some cool stuff squirreled away just for these two great sale days. If I get a peek, I'll post before next Friday.

Everyone here at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff are especially thankful for all of you who follow us and support our store. We send you our best Thanksgiving wishes.  Enjoy your family and friends and I'll see you some time next week with another post. Happy Thanksgiving!

BSS - Star Ornament

Hello blogging friends.  How did it get to be the middle of November
already!!!!!  Christmas is only 44 days from today!! Ouch.....

The sweet little image on this ornament is so adorable.

Stamp- Cling Bunny Cherub-Stampendous-(CRQ239)
Unglazed Star Ornament - Hobby Lobby (2 for 1.99, on sale 50% off)
Silver cord hanger
Colored image with Copics
Stickled the wings and snow with Star Dust Stickles

I colored the sweet image with Copics, then fussy cut it out.
I added the Stickles and let it dry.

I used Salty Ocean Distressed Oxide ink and a blending tool, to cover
the front and sides of the star ornament.
I then applied Versafine clear ink and WOW
Clear Embossing Powder and heated it to adhere it to the star.

I used tacky glue to adhere the cut out image to the star., added
the hanging silver cord, and done!!

Thanks for stopping by today.
  Have a great week

Well, it's official - I have that dreaded disease - Senioritis. You know the one where you walk into a room and forget what you went in there for... or when you look high and low for your glasses only to have someone point out they are on top of your head... or you are sending out a couple of birthday cards and seal them in the envelopes and forget who gets which card...That's what I did this week. I  even sent out a thank you card and didn't put in the gift card I had bought to go with the card to say thank you...This senior thing is not fun, not fun at all!

OK, on to bigger and better things. Stamp Camp is over and it was very successful. Everyone I talked to loved the cards and had a great time. The next big event on the calendar is Thanksgiving and Christmas and the holidays. Be on the lookout for some great sales coming up during Thanksgiving weekend. Make those lists and leave them out in the open for your significant others to find - hint, hint!

Sign-ups are open for this beautiful advent Christmas tree class taught by Mona. The dates are Saturday, November 17  from 9:00-1:00 and Saturday, November 24 from 10:00-2:00. The cost is $50, all supplies are included. The detail in this project is amazing.  This is a family tradition keepsake you can use over and over.

Here are some new things that might go very nicely on those Holiday gift lists. First up is Lil' inker Designs. These are really beautiful images that are PERFECT for coloring! You could use Copics, markers, watercolor or pencil on these images. Beautiful florals including holiday, birthday, kindness and just because sentiments.

Here are more holiday stamps and dies from Pretty Pink Posh along with coordinating bling!

I have one cup of coffee a day, but I know there are those out there who have more and can't really start their day without their hit of java goodness. These papers and stamps are for you!

These big scripty word dies and matching shadow dies are from the Memory Box Family - Memory Box, Poppy and Birch Press. Birch Press is expanding it's vocabulary with 'thanks' and 'friend'.  Memory Box has also come out with a series of small scripty sentiments that we have over on our Die Wall. You can see the 'happy birthday' peeking out below!

Renke, Renke, Renke...I am in serious love with their papers! We have new dies, stencils and gorgeous washi tape for the holidays. All coordinate with their gorgeous papers. My plan is to take the paper with the multiple rectangle images and cut them up to create my Christmas cards. Each card will be unique! (check back a few posts for images of the Christmas and winter papers)

Unfortunately, I don't know the name of this company, but they have the sweetest animal images in clear stamps (with colored examples) along with matching washi tape and little metal charms!

We recently had an Avery Elle flash sale which turned into more of a slow burn sale...but, it gave us the opportunity to make room for more Avery Elle!

Beautiful Circus papers! I love the colors. These papers would be great for a child's birthday or for vintage scrapbook layouts.

I'm sure many of you went to Christmas in the Country last weekend at the Fairgrounds. I go every year for just one thing...these chocolate covered caramel apples! In one of  my more forget-able senior moments, I screwed up the date for my bi-yearly scrapbook retreat. I was planning on visiting with my daughter as she hasn't been home since August and probably won't be home til Christmas. I was planning on bringing her an apple as she likes them almost as much as I do. So I still got her an apple (or two) and mailed them to her as I won't be seeing her :(

With the apples I sent this card, an oldie but a goodie from my Debby stash.
That's about it for this week. Have a crafty week and I'll see you soon!

P.S. - check out our class list and photos along with the samples posted in the store and sign up now for some great holiday card classes!

BSS IDEA - Snowy Winter Night

So, did you enjoy getting an extra hour of sleep?  I hate that it gets so dark
so early now.  Winter will be here before we know it.

The beautiful die used on this card, cuts into the paper and leaves the
scene, as opposed to cutting out a  piece that is the scene.

Die - Studio Light - Winter Days (WD112)
Word stamp is an unmounted stamp from my stash
Paper - White, Dark Blue and Light Blue card stock
Snowflake embossing folder
I cute the die into a piece of white card stock.
Ran this piece through the embossing folder.
Covered the piece with Versafine clear ink
Used Wow clear sparkling embossing powder on the
entire piece
I punched a small circle from pearl white paper for the moon.

I made the background using white card stock the same size as the piece
you cute the die from. then by sponging distress inks, night sky,
salty ocean, darker color around the edge, light color
in the center. Add the moon to this piece.
Mounted the die cut piece onto the sponged piece with
foam tape.
Mounted this onto light blue card stock, then dark blue card stock.

This is an easy card to make, and would make a wonderful
Christmas card that you could make multiples of easily.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great Week

Busy, Busy, BUSY Week!

We've had a lot going on at the store - STAMP CAMP!! and I've had a lot going on at home so it's been a very busy week. One of my co-workers pointed out that I spelled the name of the Bills owners wrong. Sorry to all you Bills fans out there and to the Pegulas. You may know I'm not a native of Buffalo and neither myself or my husband are Bills fans. Matter of fact, we found the local chapter of my husband's team backers and joined them for the game this past Sunday.
As you can see, no blue and red here! Just orange and Brown, as in the Cleveland Browns. I'll root for them as long as they aren't playing my team, which you really don't want to know...

On to this week at BSS! We had our first set of Holiday Stamp Camp sessions with another coming up on Saturday and Monday and Tuesday. We still have spots available and the buzz from our first sessions was very positive. Here is a little sneak peek!
There are 15 cards in all and I'm sure you'll find something to inspire you or 'borrow' for your holiday cards!

It was a slow week for new product. To be honest, we are bursting at the seems. It's a challenge to find a spot for new stuff when it comes in. I'm getting a workout running around the store looking for the stamps and dies you all want.

That's it for today. I'll do a bonus post on Saturday if we get some new stuff in, until then, happy crafting and I'll see you next week.

On Sunday, I attended the Holiday Stamp Camp at the store.  It was a
birthday gift from my sweet niece, which she attended with me.

We made so many beautiful cards, with so many wonderful ideas and
stamps and dies.  Sharon's team at the store did a fabulous job of
putting the kits together too.

Sharon gave me permission to show you this card.

The die cut of New York State is adhered to
a red square panel which was embossed
with a snowflake pattern, then mounted on
a square white mat.  The red heart was
placed where Buffalo, New York would be
and the die cut sentiment glued to
the designer paper below image panel.

Sharon also wanted me to tell you that
she has the die for  Ontario, and Pennsylvania.

This makes such a fun card to send to friends who
have moved from the area or out of town friends
or relatives.

If you have the opportunity to attend this Stamp Camp,
you should do it.  Below are the details for the remaining dates.

Saturday Bonus!

Just a quick posting with new product. All of the these stamps and dies (with the exception of the first two photos) are extremely limited, 1-2 max, so I wanted to get these out as soon as they were on the shelves.  Also, Sue posted an extra message this week with a really cute treat holder. So don't forget to check out her post which is just before this one. My Thursday post is below Sue's as I posted late this week. Sue will post again on Monday and I'll try and get my Thursday post out on time next week...

Here we go...This is a new company with some great dies and stamps that take coloring very well.

Washi tape and coordinating stamp set.

We do have several of the crafty Turnabout stamps set. If you follow Jennifer McGuire, she recently did a video featuring this turnabout.

These lovely ladies are in short supply, only 1 of each!

Lastly, Neat and Tangled with a great tree die set and a cute dinosaur stamp. Love the wooly mammoth!(we only have the one stamp set)
That's it except for all of you signed up for Stamp Camp on Sunday and Monday -  have a great time! All your kits are 'boxed-up' and waiting for you! See you next week.
