BSS IDEA - HOLIDAY STAMP CAMP

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF IDEA.

On Sunday, I attended the Holiday Stamp Camp at the store.  It was a
birthday gift from my sweet niece, which she attended with me.

We made so many beautiful cards, with so many wonderful ideas and
stamps and dies.  Sharon's team at the store did a fabulous job of
putting the kits together too.

Sharon gave me permission to show you this card.

The die cut of New York State is adhered to
a red square panel which was embossed
with a snowflake pattern, then mounted on
a square white mat.  The red heart was
placed where Buffalo, New York would be
and the die cut sentiment glued to
the designer paper below image panel.

Sharon also wanted me to tell you that
she has the die for  Ontario, and Pennsylvania.

This makes such a fun card to send to friends who
have moved from the area or out of town friends
or relatives.

If you have the opportunity to attend this Stamp Camp,
you should do it.  Below are the details for the remaining dates.

Saturday Bonus!

Just a quick posting with new product. All of the these stamps and dies (with the exception of the first two photos) are extremely limited, 1-2 max, so I wanted to get these out as soon as they were on the shelves.  Also, Sue posted an extra message this week with a really cute treat holder. So don't forget to check out her post which is just before this one. My Thursday post is below Sue's as I posted late this week. Sue will post again on Monday and I'll try and get my Thursday post out on time next week...

Here we go...This is a new company with some great dies and stamps that take coloring very well.

Washi tape and coordinating stamp set.

We do have several of the crafty Turnabout stamps set. If you follow Jennifer McGuire, she recently did a video featuring this turnabout.

These lovely ladies are in short supply, only 1 of each!

Lastly, Neat and Tangled with a great tree die set and a cute dinosaur stamp. Love the wooly mammoth!(we only have the one stamp set)
That's it except for all of you signed up for Stamp Camp on Sunday and Monday -  have a great time! All your kits are 'boxed-up' and waiting for you! See you next week.

Witches Hat treat boxes

Hello friends, I was in the store today and brought one of these cute treat boxes to
show Sharon, and she liked them, so I thought I would share them with all of you.

I found them on pinterest with a video.
Click on the word pinterest above, and it will take you to the video.
Pretty simple to make and oh so cute.

The sweet witch stamp is Stampendous - Witchy Friends (CRQ236)
Sentiment Stamp - Stampendous - Spooky Wishes (SSC1264)

I was able to put several small treats in each one.

Hope you like them as much as we did!

The Holidays in the Air and at the Store!

It's that great time when all the fall/end of the year holidays are gearing up at the same time. Halloween is right around the corner, Thanksgiving is pulling up fast and Christmas is starting to gain speed coming around the far turn! At the store I hop - well run between displays looking for stuff for Halloween, Christmas and Thanksgiving. It's hard to feature it all at the same time and to give a prominent place for all three holiday's stamps, dies, papers and accessories so we sometimes have to run an obstacle course through the store. The good news is I'm always finding new stuff I didn't realize we had! The moral of this is - check every aisle when you're shopping!

As for new stuff, here's what I have so far...

You have been asking for Buffalo sports papers and we have some great new papers featuring the Sabres and the Bills. It might be a little hard rooting for both teams right now but hopefully, things will get better. Do the Pegula's read this blog?

I was cruising the front counter and I thought I'd give these new dies from Cottage Cutz a shout out.

Have you seen the small acrylic House Mouse stamps on the counter? I've blown this photo up so you can get a look at some of the adorable images. They are only $2.99!

Next up is our Holiday Raffle basket although this year it's a Holiday Raffle Bag - a very large Vera Bradley bag, with a small wallet included along with a TON of product. I thought I'd try and take a photo peaking into the basket, er, bag to give you an idea. I spy Tim Holtz, Sizzix dies, Mini inks, markers and more! Get your tickets at the register. $5 a ticket or 3 for $10. This is a great bas...bag and we send out a sincere thank you to the Vera Bradley store in the Galleria Mall for their generous donation to our Holiday Raffle.

Just a reminder, this is the first weekend of Stamp Camp. We have a few slots left for the first session on Sunday and Monday and plenty of room for the remaining sessions. We've been die cutting away creating a great selection of cards. Check your calendars and give the store a call to sign up. Here are our dates:

Sunday, Oct. 28th 12-4 pm
Monday, Oct. 29th 10:00-3:3-
Saturday, Nov. 3rd 10:00-3:30
Monday, Nov. 5th 10:00-3:30
Tuesday, Nov. 6th 10:00-3:30

The cost is $50 and includes a $15 gift certificate to be used for the purchase of products featured in Stamp Camp. Bring your Basic Kit, a good variety of adhesives, your favorite coloring medium and check our web site for an additional supply list for Stamp Camp. Hope to see you at one of our sessions.

We also have new additions to our class descriptions that will take us into November and December. We're kind of rolling out new classes as we have them ready to go. Check out our Class Description tab on our web page and sign up for one of these great classes. (A great way to de-stress as the holidays approach!) That's it for this week, have a great week and happy crafting!

Is your costume ready?

Halloween is not too far away. Is your costume ready? To be honest, I don't do costumes but if I did, I'd be Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street, my alter ego!

We have Halloween stamps, papers, embellishments and dies on sale along with a great selection of Christmas product that has come in. It's a great time to make your Christmas list of all the new and great stuff you'd like Stamping Santa to bring to your house!  To help you get started here are a few photos of new product and cool stuff we have in the store. First up is our Halloween display as you come in the store. Great papers and stamps are still available.

Up front we have the new Hero Arts Clear stamps on display. There are layered stamps, angels, cute little mice and my favorite, the polar bears.

On the back table is the new release from My Favorite Things. I've gone a bit overboard with Christmas stamps already but there is one in this pile that I really like. If it's still there tomorrow when I go to work I may just be forced to buy it!

We got in a second shipment of Mama Elephant including the October release and more tiny agenda stamps. I can see the snowmen peaking out from the back!

Cool stuff from Tim Holtz Ideology. Brads with little bells on the end and distressed thimbles!

New dies from Birch Press, Memory Box and Poppy.  I really like these shadow die words. I used one in my upcoming card class. These three companies are all the same people. What I really like about their dies, besides the fact that they cut so nicely is that the size of the die in the package is exactly what you see on the outside. No wondering if the words are too big or too small for your project.

Last up is a sneak peek at some of the cards for our Holiday Stamp Camp. Now I know what I've been die cutting these past weeks! Sign-ups are still open; give the store a call today!
See you next week!

BSS IDEA - SNOWMAN

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF IDEA.

Hello stamping friends.  How do you like the temperature
change? Guess I need to get moving on the outdoor
furniture cushions and getting my potted plants taken
care of.

The saddest part for me is when the temperature dips below 55 you have to stop feeding the fish in our pond.  So, when I go out to see
them in the morning when I let the dog out, they come to the top
looking for their breakfast, so sad....

This week, I have a card with a great Snowman image.
I love snowmen and this one is pretty cute.

Stamp - Penny Black - Bundled Snowman (40-653)
Inside sentiment-Merriest Wishes -Stampendous (CRM278)
Paper - Black, green, white card stock
Snowflake is Tim Holtz, Alterations, die set with 14
different sized snowflakes
Word Chip is Tim Holtz
I stamped on watercolor paper, stamped with
a light gray ink and dried with the heat gun, then
colored with Copic Markers
I sponged the entire panel with Versafine clear ink
and embossed with Ranger, Holographic Embossing powder.
It's super sparkly, and reflects all the colors of the rainbow.
He's a fabulous snowman.

The inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today.
 Have a good week..

Saturday Bonus Post!

Hi!  Just a quick a quick bonus post with some new stuff that I couldn't put in on Thursday.  First up is new ephemera and embellishments from the Tim Holtz Ideology line for Christmas. There is vintage images, chipboard phrases, and vintage distressed tins (great for treats or for gift card holders!)

Next up are stencils from both Tim Holtz and from Taylored Expressions. The TH stencils come in the mini size, three to a package and in the larger size, one to package. We have lots to choose from. TE has weathered brick, snowflakes and falling snow.

Dies from Sizzix. These outline leaf dies are really cool. The snowflake reminds me of Frozen when Elsa sings about "fractals"! We also have a few of the 3-D impression embossing folders in snowflakes.

More Ideology, white plastic snowmen, santas and deer! TH tissue in holiday and winter designs.

More dies. I love that moose!

Sizzix Fold-A-Long dies to make gorgeous interactive cards!

This is a newly announced preview. Tim Holtz has come out with the last 12 Distress Inks in the Oxide form. We DO NOT HAVE THEM IN YET! They are on order, but I wanted to give you a preview so you can plan what colors you must have.
I posted photos of washi paper from Alexandra Renke and noticed that the images weren't ones I recognized. Usually they base their washi paper on their 12X12 paper. Low and behold, we have the paper! These holiday papers are beautiful! There are three main designs based on pine cones, poinsettias and mistletoe. These are in addition to the patterned paper I posted on Thursday.

Don't forget to sign up for Stamp Camp and we will be having three new classes for the end of October into November featuring Mama Elephant's Christmas release, washi paper cards and Christmas gnomes! Check the website and your emails. See you next week.

Weather Rewind!?

Well, at least it isn't a hurricane...

Welcome to balmy October! We've been busy getting ready for our Holiday Stamp Camp, the MFT Holiday Card class and getting in a lot of new, great product. So let's have at it.

First up is Jane Davenport stamps, dies and inks. We've gotten several positive reviews on this ink.

Next up is Whipper Snapper. Love the gnomes!

Power Poppy has new holiday and winter stamps. Look at the beautiful drawing on the wreath, pine cones and each one of these gorgeous stamp sets. I think Sharon needs to do a class with these.

Couture Creations dies,  I believe.

Two photos of new Renke washi tape. Love it, love, love, love!

Looking to make a project for Halloween? This is heavy 'thick board' that can be painted, distressed covered with paper - you name it for a decor piece. I really like doing projects with this kind of base.

Concord and Ninth has new Turn-about stamp sets along with dies and look at those fun holiday font sentiments.  I can hear them calling to Mona now.

Lastly, several members of our Buffalo Stamps extended family have been hit with some difficult news and health challenges this past week. We ask that you keep our BSS family of staff, customers and all our followers in your thoughts and prayers this week as we do all of you. Stay safe everyone and we'll see you next week.
