BSS MONDAY IDEA - Window Fold-Over Card and Paper Piecing

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

This week, I set out to make this Window Fold-Over Card, which is a new
card design for me, and once I got to making up the card, I decided that the
darling Stampingbella image should be paper pieced.  So two techniques
this week.

Card Front

 Another view of card front.

Inside of card.

Stamp set - Stampingbella, The Right Shoes (cb250)
Paper - Black, red, white , tan and Black and white dotted
card stock.
Stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and
embossed with clear embossing powder, except
bows on shoes were stamped with Versamark Clear
ink, embossed with white Embossing Powder.
Spellbinders circle nestabilities 31/4" die for cutout
Dotted ribbon.
Clear rhinestones.

Card base (Black) is 12x4, score at 6"
Insert
Inside insert layers are:
Dotted Paper is 5"x57/8"
Red Paper is 4"x57/8"
White Image Layer - 31/2"x5 7/8"

Choose an image.  Cut the circle into the black card
front where you want your image to show.

Center the red layer to the dotted layer and adhere.  Center
the white image layer on the red layer (DO NOT ADHERE)
slide it inside the black card, Only the edges of the
dotted paper should show when the card is closed.
Make a small mark where your image should be stamped inside
the circle.
I made a small pencil mark at the bottom of the stamp on
the white layer.  Remove the white layer, stamp and
color or paper piece your image.
To paper piece, I stamped the legs on tan, the shoes on red,
and the bows on the dotted card stock.  Cute them out and
glued them to the white image layer.  I stamped the
sentiment on red card stock, cut around the words, then using a small
piece of black card stock behind it,
cut around leaving a small border.
Adhere the finished stamped and colored or pieced layer to
the red layer by centering,
Adhere the insert inside the black card to the inside
back only. Image should now be centered
in the circle cutout when card is closed.  Add a ribbon to the front.
This makes a 5x6 inch card.

Measurements to make a 41/2x51/2 inch card:

Card base is 11x 31/4 inch, score at 51/2 inches
Layers are:
41/4 x 5 7/16 inches, 3 7/8 x 5 7/16 inches and
3x5 7/16 inches.  You will need to use a smaller
circle for the cutout.

This is a fun image and the card is fun to make.
Hope you have a chance to try it soon.

Thanks for stopping by today
Have a great week.
