BSS IDEA - Fancy Fold Valentine/Love Card

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF IDEA

Winter finally arrived here in the Buffalo NY area.
AND it is COLD...........brrrrr

I made a new (to me) fancyfold card for this week's idea.

This post is loaded with pictures and the directions
for you to make your own fancy fold card.

The front of the card
White card stock card is 12 x 5 inches folded on the left
The black mat is 5 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches
The red mat is 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches
The second black mat is 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches

Adhere the mats to the front of the side folded card front.

Cut a white mat 4 x5 inches
Center the dies (I used Altenew Caps Bold Alphabet Die)
on the white mat, I used removable tape to hold
them in place)
Cut a strip of red paper to go behind the letters (I used
red glitter paper) and adhere behind the word.

Attach the die cut panel to the front of the card.

The Inside of the card

Cut two pieces of mat (I used red card stock) 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches
Attach  two pieces if designer paper 5x4 inches, attach to the first mat, then
attach to each side of the opened card

Cut a strip of white paper 12x 1 inch
Cut a strip of black paper 12 x 1/4 inch
Adhere the black strip down the middle of the white strip
Fold the strip in half, open it  back up and bring
each end of the strip to the center fold of the strip
and crease  Your strip will now have four equal sections

The two end sections are adhered to the center
of each end of the opened card, with the
two inner sections forming a "V".  When you
adhere the two end sections, add glue to the
entire section, placing the edge on the first
mat edge, not the edge of the card.  This is
so that when the card is closed, it won't show.

To finish the card, decorate the strip with die cuts or
small colored images.  I used Spellbinders heart nestabilities,
and scalloped heart nestabilities in red and white.  I added
some red heart gems from Queen and Co.

The Love workd die on the inside, the sentiment on the inside,
and the sentiment on the outside above the Love die cut , are
from the Hero Arts Love Stamp and Cut set (DC175)

I have told you how I made my card and what I used, but this
could be made for any occasion.  You don't have to use a word die
on the front, you could use a stamped word.  Butterflies
on a circle or small square die on the inside would be pretty.

Hope you get to try this fun card, it
is really very simple to put together, you don't have to mat as many
times as I did.  You can make the card any size you want,
the strip will always be as long as the opened card.  So if you
make an A2 card, the strip will be 1 inch by 11 inches

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later......
