September is Over?!?

Not quite, but how did that happen? It was a quick September to be sure and we're now coming up on October with Halloween at the end of the month. I'm getting my Halloween packages ready to send to my daughter and another to send to my cousin's daughter who is new to college. I'm using the new Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, very excited! I've discovered when your grown children leave home they still appreciate a 'care' package or two from home!

We've got an exciting new guest artist coming to the store in the near future. Dates and more detailed information on classes will be published on the website, here on the blog, in emails and info will be available in the store within the next week. The great thing is this artist is local!

Laura Cott, from Orchard Park, is a an artist who uses alcohol inks along with other mediums in her art. We are hoping to have her here for two classes featuring alcohol inks. The classes will cover creating backgrounds and florals utilizing alcohol inks on Yupo paper. Look for more details very soon!

On to new stuff this week. First up is a card done with one of my favorite stamps from Pretty Pink Posh.

Next up is the class sample from a new class Sharon is offering called Peek-a-B00! These cards are created with AI stamps and corresponding dies. It lets you stamp your image, color, then die cut in specific areas so you can see into the image! If you look closely, the doors and windows open up and you can insert images inside! This is a very clever card class and we will be following up with Christmas versions from AI later in the year! Check the website for dates and times.

Paper, paper, paper! I can't see the company but I'd hazard a guess of Echo Park, maybe Simple Stories, could be Carta Bella - even Kaiser! New papers for winter and the holidays.

One of my favorite companies, Graphic 45! I can't wait to see the other papers in this first collection, very eclectic.

This collection looks just dreamy!

We have 12x12 paper packs of Simple Stories in Halloween Fun, Fall Florals and Christmas traditions.

Taylored Expressions has come out with a Birthday strip set! These sayings will coordinate with the die that came out earlier this year. This stamp has new sentiments! This stamp and die set makes stamping and cutting your sentiments easy, peasy! Step 1 - stamp the sentiments on your paper. You can either stop there or stamp with Versamark and emboss your sentiments. Stamp the entire stamp! Step 2 - Using the dark stamped squares, line up the coordinating die on your stamped image, tape gently to hold in place and run through your die cut machine! Step 3 - Separate all your perfectly cut, fishtailed sentiments! Chose the one that fits your card best and save the rest for another card! You can store all your extras right in the package for later use!  NOTE: If you bought the stamp and die from the first  sentiment set Taylor released, the die from that set fits this NEW set! No need to buy the die again!

More Taylored Expressions goodness.

Whipper Snapper stamps. Love some of these images, so stinking cute!

Last up, I texted Sharon on Wednesday to see if we had new product images and that started a four way conversation between Sharon, myself, Jess and Janelle. Janelle contributes to our Instagram posts for the store and follows several designers on Instagram as many of us do. She found this on Jennifer McGuire's feed.

That Jennifer took the time to post this and make a comment while on vacation in Italy - WOW!

If you haven't contributed to our Make n'Take collection, and are interested in finding out more about Jennifer's involvement and motivation behind her commitment to helping the victims of Dorian in the Bahamas, check out her blog post here. and consider making a donation either directly through her information or here at the store. 100% of monies we have raised in September will go to the relief effort.

We'll see you next week with more crafty goodness!
