Love is in the air in all of these Valentine's from Penny Black!

Next up are Whipper Snapper (I believe) wood stamps.

My last new product photos are offerings from Hero Arts. They have changed their packaging and I'm not sure how I like it...

Starting this week we are beginning a new feature called, 'DO YOU KNOW?'  Each week or so I'll include a 'DO YOU KNOW?' featuring a little factoid about the store or us. A little FYI, if you will.

This week I have a story Sharon wanted me to share with you all. It comes under the heading of our new 'DO YOU KNOW?' feature. DO YOU KNOW we do kindness cards? Every now and again we hear of someone who could use an extra boost, an expression of kindness, support, just a note letting them know they are not alone. We'll mention it in an email and/or on the blog when we receive a request.

We then ask you to submit a a card in support, or of kindness for that particular situation. A few requests have gone out and cards have come in and we've forwarded them on to the particular individual as requested.

Well, one day, right after Christmas, when the store was pretty empty, a woman walked in and asked for the manager. Sharon was in and told her she was the owner of the store. The woman said her name was Kim Swan. The name rang a bell with Sharon but she couldn't place it right away. Then it hit her when the woman said she had been the recipient of a number of kindness cards our customers made when the call went out. She said she was very, very touched that total strangers made these cards, expressions of support and love when she was at her lowest as her daughter was fighting a terminal condition. She wanted us to know how much it meant to her in her daughter's final days.

It turns out she was just passing the store after visiting another store in the plaza, saw our sign and though she had never been to the store, realized the cards came from us. She just wanted to stop in and express her gratitude. A job well done ladies.

Lastly, I love IKEA, meatballs and all! I've used a number of IKEA pieces to organize my craft space and have become quite adept at putting the furniture together. Not sure I could tackle this project though...

See you all next week. Until then Happy Crafting!
P.S. - A shout out of thanks to Alison R. and her husband Tony - you guys are AWESOME!
