Bonus, How To!

In Wednesday's video Sharon and Mona illustrated several cards that were created using the new Speckled Egg Distress Ink. They also shared techniques for using your embossing folders and ink, the embossing ink dauber for applying embossing ink to your projects, using embossing paste AND embossing glaze plus more!

Lots of people loved the results and the samples shown but several people (myself included) wanted to see exactly how, step by step, the effects were created. Sharon read the comments and did a surprise video Thursday morning showing us just how each of the techniques and cards were created.

Here it is - Thursday's VIDEO

I also promised photos of the cards Sharon created. First up are the cards created using the IO (Impression Obsession) scenic dies. The pinpoint die used in the kraft card is by Memory Box. All of the stamps and dies used that we currently have are in the on-line store. Several, if you refer back to the video, were supplies that Sharon had on hand at home and may be older stamps/dies that are no longer available.

The diamond stencil used in the 'hello' card is an older Tim Holtz. I believe it may still be available. I think the shell dies are IO. I'm not sure about the 'hello'. The stencil for the card in the upper right is from Alexandra Renke and unfortunately while still an active stencil, we cannot get because they come from Germany. The stencil in the lower left is also a Tim Holtz and I'm unsure of the butterfly stencil - I think Memory Box, but refer to Wednesday's video.

As Sharon stated at the beginning, the stamp she used for these cards is one of her favorites, an older wood mounted Hero Arts stamp. The trim on the upper right  card is a Sizzix 3-D embossing/die cut folder. We should have this folder/die in the on-line store. Refer to Wednesday's video for the sentiment stamps.

Again, my memory is failing me! I believe the leaf die in the top card is a Memory Box. The 'mistletoe' die in the bottom two cards are MFT and the delicate script word stamp is a new Sugar Pea stamp and currently in stock.

Last but not least, is a photo of the embossing glazes Sharon used on several of the cards. This is just part of our selection, we have more colors and hopefully a few of the Speckled Egg left!

That's it for my Bonus How To! Join Sharon and myself on Saturday morning at 10:00 am for a little Show and Tell. The new MFT release will get a preview along with some other new treats for you.  I hope to 'see' you there. Stay Safe and be crafty!
