Hello Everyone!!
I am doing my Monday post on Tuesday and this time it is not my fault-- Sharon changed the password and I could not log in 😁😁😁. Sharon also knows that I was going to say that! The saying goes, "good things come to those who wait", so hopefully everyone will like what I post today!
I was actually feeling okay this past weekend so I decided to play with a Tim Holtz Curio Box die that I have had for a little bit. I definitely wanted to do a spring scene featuring one of the new colorize dies. Spring is almost here and it is amazing how much some sunshine can help your mood and energy during the day!
This was my first attempt using the Curio box which is a steel ruled die. I must say that this die cut wonderfully in my Big Shot through both Sizzix mat board and cardstock. The Curio die cuts a top piece for the box (and included with the Curio die set is a few frames to be used to cut a window in the front of the box) and a bottom piece that can be used as the area for your decorative scene. I used the new Tim Holtz colorize Papercut Chicks die and Funky Toadstools to create my spring scene. This box would make a cute decoration to sit on a shelf or on a tiered tray which is very popular right now! The approximate size of the box is 4.15"x2.875"x1.15".
Supplies used:
--Sizzix: Tim Holtz Curio Box Bigz XL die # 664419, Alphanumeric Tiny Type Lower, Funky Toadstools, Papercut Chicks (colorize)
--HoneyBee Plaid Coverplate
--Lawn Fawn white Woodgrain cardstock
--Sizzix Matt Board
--Ink: MFT Grapesicle and Sno Cone; Distress ink Vintage Photo
--Moss
I hope that you liked my little curio box and Sharon may have convinced me to do something like this in a class!
Have a very crafty week! Kim
