Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope that everyone had a nice weekend even though it rained yesterday. I spent yesterday recouping after I had my grandson, Jack, overnight and preparing for my new classes and cards for the Blog. I hope that you were also able to find some time to work on cards because Mother's Day is only a few days away-- and I am totally unprepared so far.
For my first card for this week, I used a new die from Hero Arts called Mother's Day Window. This die makes a very nice quick card that can be embellished with small flowers. I die cut the window twice (on white cardstock and then a pink that matched my patterned paper) and then offset them slightly to create a shadow effect behind the words. I then used my copics to color the small greenery and hearts.
I used another new die set from Hero Arts, called Shoes and Hat Fancy for my next card. I die cut the images out of watercolor color paper and inked them with my distress inks. I have to say that both of these cards pushed me out of my comfort zone. Normally I like to stamp and color images for my cards but, this week I had to stretch my creativity 😃.Supplies used:
