Happy Labor Day!

I hope everyone could enjoy their Labor Day weekend, the last official weekend of the summer. It is unbelievable to think that Autumn is only a couple weeks away. My grandson Jack has his first day of Pre-K tomorrow! I will be there to take lots of pictures and probably shed a tear or two.

The sample for this week features a new die set from Sunny Studios called Pumpkin Patch. I decided to do a technique that I have never done before but always wanted to!

I die-cut the pumpkin out of watercolor paper and then used my Copics to add the first layer of color. Then I used coordinating Polychromos colored pencils to add another layer of color and dimension. I have to say that I love this new technique. I definitely need to practice a bit more but, I really enjoyed doing this.
