Foil it Wednesday and Saturday - Part 2

NOTE: I finished this second post first as I didn’t have access to a computer to edit my first! Part I will follow tomorrow. I apologize for the inconvenience.

It’s all going to run together. I’ve got a bit of left over from Wednesday and a lot from Satuday. I just need to get it all posted by Monday! One of the techniques from Wednesday involved Deco Ink. Sharon inked up one of her classic stamps with a dauber and the Deco Ink. She inked her stamp, stamped on her paper and the foiled the image. One point Sharon emphasized was that you need to clean off your stamp with a cleaner like Staz-on Cleaner. Also she recommends you use this ink on your rubber stamps and not on your polymer stamps. Let’s get to some photos. Sharon will turn her samples into cards for her next video

Sharon has one of the new Gemini GO electric die cutting machines in stock. She’s going to check out a few videos and report back in next weeks video. I’ve seen a video of this new machine and the main updates of this machine vs. the original Gemini are a slightly wider opening allowing for larger dies and an improve plate system. According to Crafter’s Companion, who makes the Gemini, the new plates are supposed to be warp resistant - we’ll see. Also new from Crafter’s Companion is this set of spatulas for getting the most out of your jarred pastes and paints or any jarred embellishments.

Penny Black is up next with their adorable furry animal friends. There is a dog and lots of bears. These are great for practicing your coloring with. Not too small and not too big, perfect for perfecting your coloring skills. There is also a small pansy stamp, one of my favorites.

Penny Black small sentiment stamp sets.

Four in one stamp set, bears are everywhere!

Another PB large word die, ‘ENJOY’. Check out the backs of your packaging. Many companies will give you a sample image for color and use inspiration.

A larger image stamp again, great for coloring.

One of our favorite things and something you might want to consider a must for your stamp collection, Penny Black sentiments sets. Sharon has them all! We make beautiful cards on the outside but if you’re like me, you struggle with the sentiment for the inside. These stamps can help with that. Each set has a specific theme, everything from birthday, love, get well, friendship, sympathy and more.

Hero Arts is next. First is this multiple simple sentiment set with a matching die. Stamp the entire stamp, then die cut and you end up with multiple sentiments you can store and use for many occasions. Below that is a stamp that comes with the matching die. There are also several stand-alone dies.

Pretty Pink Posh is next with some very springy stamps, stencils and dies. Bird houses and birds are the theme for this release. I’m told Mona is working on a few samples.

Also new from PPP is this add-on to the Christmas mug that came out last year. You use your original mug and now you can customize with this ‘Get Well’ die set.

PPP also has several new word dies. How good are you at reading backwards?

Also, a new music note stencil and a triple dot stencil..

A few odds and ends; this birds and blooms die cut from My Favorite Things. Also, Sharon has this very popular 6x6 paper pad back in stock.

Sharon’s last product is a Sizzix perforated ‘ticket’ die. Sharon took several of her favorite stamps and created a collage image. She then ran the image through with the die. She then folded each perforated line well and pulled apart each ticket. Add some distress ink and you have a great addition for your cards, scrapbook page, journal and more!

Card classes coming up this week and near future. Check them out and give the store a call to sign up. First is a box class with inserts featuring Susan Cockburn Tierney’s floral design. Next is a pencil class featuring musical instruments, followed by a class we’re calling ‘Get Inky’ (I think!) and the last one is this months Graphic 45 class, Roar!

I gave blood this week. It was way less scary than this…(My PSA - Give Blood 🩸 it’s easy, painless and helps your neighbors. Plus they give you juice and cookies!)

That’s it for me, two for almost one! I’m off to my cousin’s graduation at Oswego next weekend so my post may be delayed a bit so until then, get your crafty on and above all Stay Safe!
