Sharon’s video Wednesday night was based on the on-line classes she’s been taking all this week. Since Covid the convention/new product craft show experience has changed greatly from the days of CHA. The multi-day shows where vendors would display all their new product and store owners from all across the country would spend hours on the convention floor doing make-n-takes, watching new product demos and filling out order sheets were a highlight of everyone’s year. Sharon would bring home a huge suitcase filled with catalogs, samples, make-n-takes and all the little promotional items vendors would hand out.
Those days are over! Now Sharon sits in front of her computer all day and follows along doing classes that feature the latest and greatest from all her favorite companies, checking out what’s new and ordering on-line. Doing that and running the store is a challenge and sometimes I don’t know how she does it!
This weeks demo features Spellbinders dies. The basic die, flowers has an envelope die that creates a very useable envelope for your cards AND can be used as a base for the rest of the dies in the kit.
There are add-ons to this basic set. Halloween and Christmas are also available. I imagine there will be a lovely Valentine’s set too.
You can also create traditional stand alone cards with all the pieces included. Here are the starts of three cards that Sharon created. The final versions will appear farther down.
I just love this closeup. You can see how Sharon kicked up her die cuts by adding a touch on ink.
We’ll start Saturday’s recap with samples created by Kim for her inspiration blog posts and the final versions of Sharon’s Wednesday night creations.
We also have these four new paints in gorgeous metallic colors, gold, rose gold, silver and sparkle white. Sharon did a sample of splatter and I hope you can see the sparkle. Sharon also used a blender to add this paint to a raised embossing folder.

To help spread the pastes and paints we have this collection of metal pallet knives.
Waffle Flower has created this stamp-die cut set you use with stencils. If you look closely you can see if you were to cut apart the die cut pieces this die creates you will have classic stamp edged pieces. But before you do, use the matching layered stencil sets to create your final stamped and die cut images! There is a Christmas stencil set but we are currently out of stock. We have an order pending.
Products from Crafter's Companion. These beautiful pastes and the Holly Jolly Christmas stencil kit.
Adorable little penguins stamps from Crafter's Companion.
A new company,Violet Studio, with two collections of solid 6X6 pads and coordinating enamel dots.
This is a gorgeous 12X12 pad of metallic patterned paper.
From Hunky Dory pre-made card bases. We have several designs in stock.
Tim Holtz's Halloween thinlits are here! This is a layered circle die.
A little BOO! and little EEK!
Love these little goblins!
Gorgeous moon and bat die set that can be used in other applications and the moon can be combined with the clouds from the pumpkim set above.
Great tombstone and graveyard themed dies.
We also have Tim's color glazes in.
These are three collections of gel/sparkle pens.
Mona joined in with a way to do the diagonal score on the box card she and Sharon shared last week. Basically, you take a heavy weight paper along a score line far enough to the right that you can line up your center mark with the corner and use that paper as guide to draw your score.
Mona used this Santa (which has so many pieces) for a regular card and a box card.
She also used this die set for her sentiment.
As you can see by all the pieces, it took Mona a bit of time to figure out where everything went. To complicate the process Spellbinders gives you three different versions of an arm! It took her a while but she finally got it.
Mona also brought back her finished stencil card from last week.
Unfortunately, when Mona started sharing this delightful card the screen froze. I could hear her talking but the image never changed! I refreshed so many times to try and get the video moving with no luck. As you can see, I hope, Mona used the swinging legs on the Santa and the reindeer. We also loved the sentiment in this card and the following card.
That's it for me for today. On a personal note, I've been spending the last three weeks as I do every summer touring France...at 6 in the morning by watching the Tour de France. While I'm gobsmacked every year at what these athletes do, I really enjoy the scenery! Today was the final stage where they finish on the Champs-Elysees in Paris. I had the best weekend this past March with my daughter in Paris and today brought back many memories. So I thought I'd share our one day of sunshine with this photo of Alexa in front of the Arc de Triomphe at the end of the Champs-Elysees.
My funny for today is my is serious for me. I have arachnophobia!
Bye for now, I'll be back after Wednesday's video. I've got a couple of card class ideas brewing and a lot of work to do now that I don't have to get up at 6am...Stay crafty everyone and Stay Safe!
