Buffalo Stamps & Stuff: Silence is not always golden

Sharon skipped on a Wednesday night video after taking classes all day. She promised to share the cards she made after they are finished in a future video. Mona did a follow up on Friday with the swinging reindeer and Santa card from last week. The video started out strong and then the audio started to break down so that by time she was ready to feature her new card design there was no video at all! Happily, Sharon’s video on Saturday was clear as a bell. I’ll start with Mona’s follow-up. Here is her finished swinging reindeer and Santa.

Honey Bee has a great stamp and die sets featuring fishing, perfect for guy cards and as Mona has sons and all grandsons, she loved this release. Here are her samples.

They also had this fishing basket or creel that you could create a dimensional card with with a little finesse.

We love this stamp and matching die set from Taylored Expressions. The die cuts so close to the letters!

Mona moved on to Waffle Flower's Postage stamp die set and coordinating stencil sets. Mona's audio started to go out at around this point.

Each stencil is numbered. The number is impressed into the corner of the stencil. To make the number more readable, Mona used a Sharpie and colored over the number then took a cloth and wiped away the ink leaving ink in the impressed number. Another great Mona hack!

Sharon featured Mona’s card on Saturday but I have no directions ☹️. I’m hoping that Mona added the directions and dimensions to her Pinterest Page. We have new Colorado Craft Company holiday stamps featuring the delightful little animals they are known for.

We have a new Scoring Board and precision scissors from Altenew. Sharon likes this score board because it has clearly marked 1/4 and 1/8 inch channels.

New Penny Black. It was sometimes easier to show the colored image from the back of the packaging than the front with the stamp itself. So check out both of them.
