And So It Goes

Another week, another video or two. Sharon did a video on Wednesday night illustrating a new coloring technique for embossing folders and I have a few photos. I'd also like to ask you to please read til the bottom of the post. We also have new product to share so let's get to it.

First up is Sharon's coloring of embossing folder images. Sharon uses a combination embossing folder with matching die. Using her ink pad she colors on the REVERSE side of the die cut embossed image. Sharon chose to use these Distress Oxide colors.

Here is the reverse side of the image.
Here is the folder.
Sharon is using a smaller brush to fill in the indentations made by the folder,
Here are two samples done in different coloring mediums. The one to the left was done with Copic markers and the one on the right was done with oxide ink pad and a brush.
Here's where the magic happens. Using a black ink pad, Sharon used her VersaClair Nocturn. She rubs it along the top of the embossed image. The ink will cover all the raised areas without covering the colored debossed areas.

Another sample Sharon made earlier.
Here are a few samples that Sharon will make cards from.
Earlier Sharon made these two cards.

In another experiment of techniques Sharon tried to ink her paper BEFORE running it through her embossing folder.

Another couple of samples.

You can add shading with multiple colors.
From folder to finished card.

On to new product. First up is a few odds and ends. We have Art Resin in. Sharon shows a piece of dictionary paper she found that was covered in resin. It breaks like brittle and can be used in your junk journals and more.

Whimsy stamps and dies are next. Sharon likes that they use red rubber for their stamps. There's an especially snarky one.

Next up is Crafter's Companion dies.

Sizzix is back in store with several favorites.

We also have gotten back in these bee papers.

You all know that we cannot put Taylored Expression products in our on-line store. You need to either come in or call the store to ask for what you are interested in. In an attempt to make that call-in process easier, Sharon has assigned a ID number to each product. This way you don't have to know the name of a stamp or die, just the 'FB' number. Most of this release has a patriotic theme and you can see the ID tag on each item.

We also have new and returning goodies from Waffle Flower.
A large postage die with add-ons.

In-side Out-side dies.

Two new stencils.

Large Take Care die.
The last major release is from AAll & Create. Multi piece die sets gets us started.

Sharon combined all the dies in one package together.
New to AAll & Create are these paper packs. You can identify them by the number on each package.

We also have some new and returning stamp sets.

We've had these little ladies before.

Calling all you surfer dudes!
Lastly, a review of Sharon's finished cards.
That's it for this week. There probably will not be a Wednesday night video. Mark is having a surgical procedure this week and that's occupying Sharon's thoughts and time. Please join me and the family at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff in keeping Mark in your thoughts and prayers for a successful procedure and a speedy recovery. Mona will be in on Friday and I'm sure she'll have a great project to share. I'll be back next week with a review of anything new we get in. Enjoy our warm weather (when it decides to stay) and stay crafty everyone.

You can't go wrong with Peanuts for your funny of the post.
Have a crafty good week and Stay Safe everyone.
