Keeping Warm?

What a loaded question! We live in Buffalo, we have lake effect, it is January after all. As we get back into the our regular routines after the holidays we need to get used to the cold. My solution, hunker down in my craft space and make cards and scrapbook pages.

Sharon was back on Saturday we a preview of new stamps, dies and papers along with a look at some upcoming classes. We're also getting ready for our annual Super Bowl Party. Football is my excuse for creating this post later than normal. We'e been watching all the playoff games this past weekend and were looking forward to the Bills game on Sunday. The Bills WON! decisively on Sunday and I got wrapped up  in the Buccaneer Commander game Sunday night and totally forgot to write my blog!

Mona was also in the store on Friday and I have a few photos of her projects for Valentine's Day. I also want to give a big shout out to Kim who was able to post an inspiration card on Monday morning. She's been dealing with some health issues and hopefully is on her way back to making and enjoying card making.

First up are two photos samples from Mona and Pretty Pink Posh. Sharon also shared her creations during the video which I'll share at the end of today's post. When I first saw this little guy I thought it was a cat. I was quickly corrected and informed it is a fox. Foxy here is from Pretty Pink Posh in a new fold style card also utilizing some of the new Valentine's papers we have. When the card is folded Mona created a belly band to keep it closed. Our little friend here can hold a heart or whatever you'd like in its paws as they are cut by the die. Mona was still contemplating possible additions to this card.

Next up is a new release from Waffle Flower. Shown below is a new collection of coordinating stamp set. die and stencil with a book theme. You can see the open book die and the script print in the stamp set. It's hard to see the layers of the stencil set but I believe it shows books on a shelf.

There is also this cool looking feather.
Another look at the one of the book stencils.
A relatively new company for us, Uniquely Creative, from Australia has some new offerings and several re-orders. First up are these die cuts that are Washi tape. They are individual images with a thin paper backing that can be removed so you can adhere the image to your card or scrapbook page.
There are also dies like this very scripty 'Happy Birthday'.
A written in script stamp.
A full page of rub-on words and definitions.
A thin film strip die.
We have a restock on these 6X8 Flip Folio Albums. They come in white, Kraft and black.
Sharon used this flip folio for this vintage album. You can see the scallop edge on this front cover. This is a die set that she used for this album and was part of the class that features this folio.

If the folio is not your thing and those large 12X12 scrapbook pages are a challenge, try this 8X10 ring binder by Uniquely Creative.
UC also makes Pocket Page protectors for this album if you'd like to do a Project Life style album or a traditional photo album.
Next up is the Pretty Pink Posh Valentine's release along with samples and a little creating samples from Sharon and Mona. First are all these great stencils.
Here's Mona's foxy friend.
This cute little guy and his brother, which you'll see further down, is an add on that goes with the Halloween treat basket die from this past Halloween. Similar to PPP's mug die, it looks like they will be creating add-on sets that will be holiday or event specific that you can use with basket die you'll see below.
Here is the Halloween basic basket set.
PPP has also created a new set of valentine ghosts similar to their Halloween ghosts. See Sharon's card samples below.

Sharon used this large stamp stencil from The Stamp Market to create her background.
Add subtle coloring with a brush and this aqua ink pad from Pink Fresh.

Another variation under construction,
It's hard to see on the pink card but this X and O background plate was used. This may have to come home with me if there are any left by time I get to the store!

More samples

You can use these little icon stamps as objects for your ghosts or the fox to hold.

Hopefully, next week we will see a sample using this die from Mona. It's called a Heart Shaker. I'm really curious to see how she uses it.
Kim used this 'LOVE' die set in her inspiration card in her earlier post.
Heart balloons and coordinating stamps.
Border dies.
More hearts! These hearts come in two sizes and you can customize with different layers.

Mona used the puppy basket add-on along with the die set that makes cake pops. How cute?!

Sharon shared her version of the cake pop dies in a card vs. Mona's. (Sharon surrendered!)
The scallop frame Sharon used on her card.
Here is the add-on in a better photo that Mona used for the puppy basket.
Sharon showed how she used the two sizes of cake pops and the clay pieces by Everett Road.

We shared the Everett Road release last week but it can't hurt to share again and remind everyone of the great price point of this line.

Lastly, we have samples of classes being offered this month into February, I'm sure we'll have more as the week moves on. First is Sharon's Graphic 45 class. Pick up your kit early as there is fussy cutting homework.
Snow Pals - you'll be doing a shaker and a box card and two more cards as part of this class.
We're playing with Lunar and Solar pastes along with embossing folders in this class.
Our last preview is this foiling class that features Deco Foil and laminating along with toner images.
Sharon may not have a Wednesday video as she is taking classes all this week. We will be back next Saturday though with any new product and hopefully more samples by Mona. Here are a funny or two for your week. The first one is 'if you know, you know'.
This is me too...
Big, Big, BIG game this coming Sunday. The Ravens won't be as easy as the Broncos were. The good news is they'll have to deal with western NY weather - at night, BRRR!! The Bills Mafia will be out in force and we'll all be rooting GO BILLS!
