I've been MIA but not AWOL the past month or so but I'm back for the holiday season. First off a huge thank you to everyone who visited the store on Small Business Saturday Thanksgiving weekend. Lori and Janet have been working very hard keeping up with, maintaining the store, and preparing for the new year and the store's future. We've always had big sales at the end of the year as we get ready for inventory. To that end we are having our biggest sale yet.
Starting tomorrow, until the end of the year, all items will be 50% off! Valid in-store only and for in-stock items. Regular exclusions apply.
Save 20% off on in-stock machines, too!
I hadn't been in the store for quite a while until last Saturday. In early November my husband, daughter and I traveled to Spain for week. My daughter is now our CLO - Chief Logistical Officer. In other words I've given up travel and trip planning completely to Alexa's superior skills. We spent several days in Seville, a lovely 'old style' city and then we traveled to Barcelona, a more cosmopolitan city for the remainder of our visit. A couple of observations; Seville had a definite old world feel and a slower pace. Prepare to eat dinner AFTER 8:30pm in Spain. Many restaurants don't open til after 8-8:30, and Iberian Ham is AWESOME! I think I had this delicious, fine shaved ham at every meal I ate, especially with pan tomato (bread with tomato) except breakfast.
We didn't have a bad meal the entire trip. There was also an attraction in Seville called Setas de Seville. A metal installation that looked like a grid combination of waves and mushrooms. You could walk on top of the Setas and at night it was lit up with rotating colored lights, absolutely gorgeous!
In Barcelona the Sagrada Familia Cathedral is a must see experience.
Park Guell is also a highlight but be prepared to walk up hill! It was our first visit to Seville and our second to Barcelona and Alexa's third. In Barcelona went to a private home and made paella! We were a group of about 12 people from all over, Orlando, California, Houston and Australia!
As soon as we came home we both got sick which kept me away from the store and Thanksgiving followed quickly. Next came my Christmas cards which were way more time consuming than I anticipated. Finally, decorating the house and putting up our tree, whew!!
I hoped you enjoyed my little travelogue. I hope the ladies will see you at the store too. I'll be back now and again with more updates as we head toward Christmas and the new year. Stay Safe everyone and GO BILLS!
