Welcome to the BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF Monday Idea.
Today's idea is to alter the front of the card by cutting part of it away.
I started with a 5x7 inch card and cut away three quarters of the front.
Then ran the portion of the front of the card that was left through a
Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder.
I chalked some of the snowflakes with pink and blue and glitter parts of some of them.
The icicle border is Martha Stewart. I punched it out on light blue paper, then
inked with clear embossing ink and embossed with Stampendous Fran-tage embossing powder, Shabby Blue, and glued to the top of the front portion of the card. The snowgirl (Printworks JB4206)
was colored with Copics, after stamping with Versamark Onyx ink and embossing with clear embossing powder. I cut the image with a QuicKutz die, Nesting Doily Ovals (DC0254).
Note: I cut another of the ovals to glue to the back of the one with the snowgirl on it, so that when the card is opened, the inside looks nice too.
Punched a small snowflake die on a small square of paper then used it like a stencil to make the small snowflakes in back of the snowgirl. Added three dots with a marker in several places.
The heart, rose on her hat and her wings are popped up. Used Vintage Photo distress ink to ink around her wings.
This is the inside of the card. The paper is Bazzill Black Basics Patterned Paper 6x6 Mini Prints.
(Love this paper!!!!) The heart is a Classic Heart nesting set from Spellbinders. The Border snowflakes and the little snowflake are Martha Stewart punches.
The Sentiment is My Sentiments Exactly (M254) (I'm not sure this is still available)
Remember, the amount you cut from the front is up to you.
It's a fun way to decorate the inside of a card and let it show on the outside!!
Thanks for stopping by today.
Got some great new stamps from Sharon at the show on Saturday, can't wait to show them to you in the coming weeks.
Have a great week.
