BSS MONDAY IDEA - Snowflake Christmas Ornament

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Today's idea is to make a snowflake ornament with your favorite Christmas stamp
in the center.

I got these wooden snowflakes at Hobby Lobby, but I am sure you can find them in any
of the craft stores.  These were especially nice, because they were already painted white
and the center is big enough to use a pretty good sized stamp.

For both of these ornaments, I painted around the edge with Glamour Dust by DecoArt, Ice Crystal.
Then, before it dried,  sprinkled  Stampendous Vintage Glitter, Champagne Glass for extra sparkle.
When it dried, I lightly sponged the edges with light blue die ink.
I traced around the center part of the ornament lightly with a pencil, then cut the shape out and stamped
on the shape I cut out, to later be glued to the ornament.  I colored with copics and sponged with
die inks.

Don't forget, you can click on any of these images and get a closer look.

I used  Polar White flower soft on the hat.  The snow is
created with  Stampendous Fran-tage Chunky White Embossing Powder (FREG021)
I sprinkled it lightly onto the finished piece where I wanted it and
heated it from underneath so it didn't blow all over the place.  Do small
areas at a time.  You can also do this with regular white embossing powder.
I dotted some areas with an embossing pen then embossed with the same EP.
Rhinestones were added to the points of the snowflake.
Green stickles on the bow of the package.
A gold bow and gold cord for hanging completed this snowflake.

Make this snowflake the same way with a different stamp.
Notice that the snowflakes are different shapes too.
Colored with Copics.  I added Ranger Glossy Accents to the candy canes.
The snow is the same Chunky White Stampendous Embossing Powder,
sprinkled on in small areas, and heated from underneath until you get the look you
going for.  I popped this image up on the snowflake with a piece of cardboard but to the same shape.  Added red and white candy cane striped bow and silver cord hanger.

These were such fun to create and make nice gifts for Children and Adults alike.
You could even add a name on each one.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great week.
