Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea
Another Monday, another idea.
Love the idea behind this card. I don't know what it is called,
but we will call it a Gatefold, Framed card.
I started with this adorable stamp.
This is the card closed.
This picture showes how the card opens.
The inside
How it's done.
Choose an image or phrase for the front of the card.
Choose two die cuts. One that you will cut the image out with
and another that is the next size larger.
Cut your focal piece with the chosen die.
Choose card stock for the next larger die.
Place the larger die on the card stock, then place the
smaller die that you used to cut out your image into the center
of the larger die and run it through your die cutting machine.
Decorate the front of your gatefold card with panels as you wish.
Your image will fit into the frame that you cut with card stock.
Adhere the left half of the frame in the center of the left panel of your card.
Adhere the right half of the focal point die to the right panel, inside the frame
from the larger die.
Decorate the rest of the card as you like.
Because the frame is only adhered on the left and the image die is
adhered on the right, it easily slips out of the frame to open the card.
Be careful when decorating the front of the card not to cover the parts
that will move when you open the card with overlapping embellishments.
