We had a little confusion with our classes last weekend. Add to that the storm and closures and it was fun three and four way texting to make sure all our bases were covered. We may be rescheduling a class that did not run and was misrepresented. We'll update you as soon as we have that information.
The big news was Creativation out in Arizona. Tons of new product, new companies and great new ideas! Sharon is back and I have pictures of some of the things coming to the store in the near future and I have a surprise at the end.
First up, Prima Marketing - gorgeous papers, beautiful flowers and embellishments. Great decor class ideas.
Dare to be Artsy
A new company Sharon was really excited about, The Stamp Market. Apparently they were the talk of the floor!
Next up, one of my personal favorites, Lawn Fawn. If you follow them on Facebook or subscribe to them you may have seen many of these from the new release. In person, they are just adorable! Can't wait for them to arrive at the store.
They have a new interactive die which I believe is featured in the card on the top left with the taco in the frame. You can see a little pull arrow to the right. Pull the arrow and the picture of the taco changes! Can Not Wait!
One of my favorite companies for scrapbooking paper is Photoplay. Here are a few new papers from them. Their papers are also great for cards. They are a great weight and the colors and patterns are marvelous.
Pink Fresh is here with many new and exciting dies and stamps. I love, love, love this first card and the technique used to create it. Gold embossing a beautiful detailed image and adding watercolor makes such an elegant background for this simple but beautiful card.
Texted Sharon when these came across that I loved them! I'm a sucker for rainbow coloring!
Another All-Time Favorite - Art Impressions. I'm thinking this first one is going to be uber popular.
Who can resist House Mouse? Not I!
And last up for today is Avery Elle. Looks like they may make me buy cute pig stamps yet!
This one is too cute...
We have lots more news from the show but I'm not sure how we'll keep Sharon here in little cold Buffalo after she makes her video debut! Jennifer McGuire 'nabbed' Sharon and other store owners to do a video with 'her camera crew' (she has her own camera crew?!?!) We will let you know when and where you can see this video masterpiece (just missed the Oscar announcements, darn!)
Sharon will also have some news about visiting guest artists. She was talking to some people ;-) So stay tuned and check out Facebook for great photos from Sharon and others of the new releases from Creativation and don't forget - SUPER BOWL PARTY! February 3rd.
I think I'm the only person in western New York, heck, probably all of New York who is so happy! My Patriots are going back to the Super Bowl! BSS will be having a party all it's own that afternoon. $25 - cards to make, games to play and food to eat! Sign-ups are now open and you'll be home in time to watch the game!
