The Kim and Sharon Show

I’m still trying to get back into the swing of things after the crazy past two weeks. I was on dinner duty Wednesday night and almost forgot about Wednesday night’s video. I came in on the end and rewatched this morning. Both Sharon and I have Kim to thank for helping with her video and my post. If you checked out Kim’s Monday blog post you saw the money cards she made with the new MFT release. She made an extra set of card pieces that Sharon used tonight. You can also find photos of most of these dies in my previous post.

Sharon is making two versions of a gift card with the Money Card die set from MFT. This is the Money Card die. It has many extras to decorate your card and to even make it look like a product you might buy at a store.

Also used is this Gift Card Pocket die from MFT.

Sharon also uses this great sentiment set. If you check out the sayings you’ll see that many apply to boys, teens, and hard-to-buy-fors.

Sharon starts with a black background piece that has a slit about an inch from the bottom. On top of that she layers the piece that the money tube will be added to.

Here is the tube. Sharon adds 1/8” score tape to the lip that runs all around the raised tube on both the top and the bottom.

Sharon added additional score tape around all the edges to attach to the black background piece. NOTE: Sharon didn’t put anything into the plastic pouch. The front is lined up so that the end of your money bill can be fed out the slit in the base for the recipient to access their gift.

This is the Gas Money stamp set.

This is the Price Tag set that you can use with these or a variety of other cards. A great set for only $5!

There is also a birthday stamp set version you can use. Here is Kim’s creation using MFT’s Mini Cupcake die set.

When you turn either over you can see how the bill can slide out. Just an idea, instead of using one large bill consider Washi taping a bunch of singles or fives together. It makes fun watching the recipient wonder when the bills would end! Again, great for teens!

When you use the Gift Card Pocket add-on you can create a pocket to add a gift card.

There is an additional die that makes the gas pump and the gas gauge used in the first card.

There are other add ons you can use for birthdays, the tooth fairy, coffee and Christmas, although Sharon didn’t get the MFT Christmas add-on because she has another one from Creative Expressions she likes better. Sharon will share photos of these other die/stamp sets on Friday’s video and on our Facebook page.

Sharon is still cleaning up her craft room. You may have noticed a few smudges on her craft space. The girls loved to glue anything and everything! Also, the more glitter the better! Friendly hack, glitter glue peels right off a glossy plastic spatula!

Some of the leftover projects the girls and Sharon made.

My funny for today. The time frame may be a little off but you can enjoy soup anytime of year…

Mona will be doing a video on Friday and Sharon will be back early on Saturday (9:30am) with a new product video and maybe something else, as long as we don’t get any more snow or rain! We’ll be rooting for the Bills this weekend. News came as I typed this that Damar Hamlin is awake and asked via pencil and paper, “who won the game?” OMG! How great is that! We still need to keep good thoughts and prayers that he’s taken off the ventilator soon and has recoverable injuries. It’s looking good! GO BILLS! 🦬 GET WELL SOON #3! Everyone else, get your crafty on and above all Stay Safe!
