BSS MONDAY IDEA - Die Cut Card

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Today's idea is to make a card using die cuts in a unique way.

This is a memory box die, Lovely Peony Outline (98482)

This is a beautiful butterfly die by Memory Box, Vivienne Butterfly (98265)

The finished card.
Found this idea online by Dina Kowal and she has done
a great tutorial

This stained glass effect is achieved by cutting out the die on the panel you will use on your card front, then placing acetate (I used velum) over the top of the dies and coloring it up.  Then you replace the panel over the colored sheet and glue the cut outs back.  I love this look.  I used Copic Markers on the to color.  Pearls are
Melissa Frances. I ran the panel through a Cuttlebug embossing folder before
gluing the velum in place and returning the dies back into place.  Simple but elegant card.

Hope you have a chance to try this technique.

Enjoy your holiday.  Please remember all those that have served, the men and women that are presently serving and those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

Have a great week.
Thanks for stopping by today.
