Come Join Us...

Come join us this Sunday, December 10th as we gather for an afternoon of fun, paper crafting and memories. We're going to have an old fashioned card party - of the crafty sort! As many of you know every year we adopt a family for Christmas. Our family has been chosen, the information posted on our website and now the fun part begins - giving. This year is especially bittersweet because we are honoring the memory of our friend and co-worker, Debbie Morrisey.

Debbie loved this store tradition. It was important to Deb to give to give of her time and talent to benefit the family. She would often refuse to be paid for days we did classes or projects where the proceeds were going to the family.

To celebrate Debbie and the holiday season we've created a day of crafting that will include paper projects (suitable for decoration or giving) along with original holiday cards by Sharon. We have twenty openings for this event to be held Sunday, December 10 from 1-4 at the store. Sign-ups are required and we are asking for a donation of $20. As of today, December 8th we still have openings. All proceeds are going to the family and as many of us who were Debbie's coworkers can, will be in the store to help you and share our memories of the holidays and Debbie. Now, I've made this a little smaller than usual because I just want to give you an idea of some of the projects we have in store for you on Sunday without giving it all away!

The rest of this weeks post is inspiration for those of you who haven't finished your Christmas cards or are looking for that one special card to give you inspiration to make for a special family member or friend. Here are some of the fantastic cards I found around the store.

Not a card but a lovely way to use your dies to create a keepsake decor piece.

I had to include this card made with Waffle Flower dies. I'm a cross-stitcher so this one really resonated with me.

I get such a kick out of these images of trees on cars! I also like this card because of the embossing done it.

Love the detail in this card including the cheesecloth at the bottom.

So sign up, come in, share some fun, memories and good crafty goodness with us on Sunday for a great cause and to remember our dear friend. See you there!
