Warm or Cold?!?

How do you like living on a roller coaster? One day the temperature is up and the next it's down. I've got nothing against change but this is ridiculous! Enjoy the nice day we're having today, Friday because it will probably change by tomorrow!

Sharon is back from Creativations. Sadie is very happy. Here are a few housekeeping notes. Saturday, January 27, Stephanie from MFT will be here with three cards featuring MFT's latest release. I can't tell you how much I love these cards. I sign up sight unseen each month. I'm really looking forward to the Viking. My cousins are half Swedish so I've got a great go to for him.

Next Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday. We will be having our annual Super Bowl Party. There will be pizza and wings, bring a dish to pass for munchies or dessert, games and a great little selection of cards and a cute gift project. Cost for the afternoon is $25 and pre-game sign-ups are required. Give the store a call. We still have a few slots left!

New stuff! We will start to receive the orders Sharon put in at the show towards the end of the month and into February. We are taking pre-orders for the 12 new Oxide Ink Pads and Reinkers. We will have several of the storage solutions Sharon featured on Facebook for the marker holder and Washi tape holder along with the catalog here in the store. You will be able to check out what other storage and transporting containers they have and be able to order through the store. We are also taking orders for the Tim Holtz Glass work surface he demoed at the show. I hope you all got to look at some of the great videos Sharon posted from Creativations either on Facebook or on You Tube. If you are not on Facebook just google Creativations 2018 on You Tube and you will see lots and lots of video from the show.

I have to apologize for not posting any photos this week. I'm having phone and computer issues and nothing seems to want to cooperate! If I can get some photos loaded before next Thursday I'll try and do a post on Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully, I'll see you then!

Up, Up and Away!

My title this week is a shout out to my daughter who is leaving for London on Friday for a semester study abroad. Our week has been a little bit hectic as we finalize everything we think she needs to have in place so Sharon generously gave me my usual Thursday off to prepare. Tally ho! Alexa!

On to the fun stuff. Sharon will also be in the friendly skies winging her way to Creativision, Creatavations, CHA or whatever it's being called this year. If you are a blog reader from the many companies we carry you have already seen sneak peeks of some of the new offerings for spring and summer. We've gotten a few new releases in already and I have a few photos for you.

First up, paper - I see BoBunny winter paper, 50's vintage valentine paper and St. Patrick's Day paper - nothing like planning ahead!

Next up, Pretty Pink Posh sequins but look closely. These are flat without a hole in the center and in different shapes. I spy circles and hearts.

We also have NEW PPP stamps and dies. The sets below were featured in one of Jennifer McGuire's latest blog videos.

This box came in last week and I wondered what was in. Now I know, Printworks! Adorable, very colorable snowmen!

We also have in the new My Favorite Things January release. Stephanie Klauck will be at the store on Saturday, January 27 with her class featuring three cards from this release. Take a peek.

I'm anxious to try this new Extreme Black ink from MFT.

We also have in new Mama Elephant. I love this company! I love the dog stamp in the second photo. Too cute! They make great stamps for new baby and children's cards. I also believe we have some of the new cross stitch stamps from ME. Sorry I don't have a photo but that's the word on the employee grapevine!

Last up is Paper Smooches. An old standby company that is still going strong. Look forward to more photos as Sharon sends us updates from Createvation!

See you all next week.

It's Wild and Wacky Weekend!

It's that time of year again. Wild and Wacky Week has been going all week long and tomorrow, Saturday, is our Wild and Wacky Week Reverse Progressive Sale! That's how wild and wacky we roll - backwards. To refresh you newbies out there, the Sale starts at 6:30 am when anyone coming in during our first half hour will get a 1 day, 1 time coupon for 35% OFF usable anytime during the day on regular priced merchandise.  At 7:00 am you will get a coupon for 30% OFF, at 8:00 am you will get a coupon for 25% OFF, and at 9:00 am everyone gets 20% OFF for the rest of the day!

UPDATE: Due to the equally wacky weather we will be extending our Wild and Wacky Sale to Sunday morning (1/14) - Come in Sunday between 9 an 10 and you'll receive a coupon for 30% off your entire purchase! The 30% off coupon MUST be used before 11 am.  We will close the store at 11 am and re-open at our regular time of 1 pm when the sale will continue with everyone getting 20% for the rest of the day (25% if you are a Bag Lady and you have your bag with you!)

Like I said, you can use your coupon anytime during tomorrow's sale! So you can come in early, pick up your coupon and then hit the pancake house for breakfast, come in later and your coupon will be honored. Two BIG things though, First - REGULAR EXCLUSIONS APPLY! These include but are not limited to: Copics, Big Shot and other Dies Cutting machines* and companies that either restrict us from discounting their merchandise more than 20% or not at all. Second - BAG LADIES - BRING YOUR BAG! and get 25% off of your entire purchase AND EVERYONE - I hope you kept your emails from this week because there is a coupon for additional savings!

*Die cutting machines are excluded from the 20% discount portion of the sale. BUT - you can use your email coupon for savings on a machine if you spend $40 (after other discounts are applied).

Whew! I feel like the accounting statement they make at the Oscars only I don't have Ernst and Young to back me up (only Sharon)! Hopefully the weather will be in our favor by Saturday and I will see you then!

I have a few pictures for you. Honestly, the sale and the upcoming Createavations(sp?) have crowded out anything I remember from the store but let's see what I can come up with.

We have this lovely, nylon thread. If you are a follower of Alexandra Renke then you may have seen that many of her cards are accented with thread. We have three colors pink, white and blue.

Speaking of Renke I couldn't help posting this paper. I LOVE IT! I just want to take all the rainbow papers she does like these and frame them all! (If I posted this before -- I don't care! love it, love it, love it!)

Christmas is OVER! Valentine's day is coming down the pike! We've got displays featuring Valentines stamps, dies, papers, embellishments and more from all our favorite companies. Check it out.

Next, card classes! Here are little look-sees at several of our classes for this month going into next. Check out the descriptions on our webpage here.

Lastly, a little Lawn Fawn Love.
That's it for today and this weekend. My last word of advice, get in early for this final day of our Wild and Wacky Sale. What you want may not be there if you wait too long! Have a great week and I'll see you next time.

BSS WEEKLY IDEA - Winter Scene Die

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF WEEKLY IDEA.

Cold enough for ya?  WOW, we turn our heat down at night, and the kitchen floor has been
so cold in the mornings, we have adjusted how much to turn it down.

I feed the squirrels and birds, and they have been coming in flocks to eat.
Even a bunny or two has been visiting to eat the seed on the ground.

Supposed to get more normal this week.  Keep warm and cozy.

This weeks card is made with a beautiful winter die.
I cut the die out and colored some things, and paper pieced behind
the lights, the windows, and the mountains and ground.

Then I cut a piece of glossy card stock and sponged it with distress ink,
stamped the snow with white pigment ink and set it with a heat tool.
I placed a small circle on the paper before I started to ink it to form
a full moon.I then adhered the sponged piece behind the die.

Die - Amy Design - Village Frame Straight ADD10121
Paper - Royal Blue, White and Glitter White Cardstock

Inside

Snowflake die is Martha Stewart.

Keep warm and drive carefully, stay safe.

Thanks for stopping by today.
 Have a great week

Can You Feel the ...COLD!!!

Brrrrr!!! Welcome to 2018! Nothing like starting out a new year with an arctic blast. I hope you all are staying cozy and warm and playing with all the fun stuff you got for Christmas. January is a transition month for us here at the store. We're getting out of the Christmas mindset and thinking about Valentine's Day.  We already have a few displays up.

CHA is right around the corner. Look for new releases and updates as Sharon makes the trip out to Arizona. The word on the internet is that Taylored Expressions is changing the way they release their new stamps. They are going to an every other month release instead of every month. Whew, is that good news! We love TE but having a release every month means you can barely keep up! Here are a few of their Love/Valentine themed stamps, perfect for your honey and for kid's valentines.

We still have a few old fashioned wood stamps. How about stamping the P.S I LOVE YOU on the back of your envelopes.

I posted a few IO dog and cat stamps a few weeks ago and we got a few more in. I couldn't resist this guy.

We also have new Laurel Burch in house. If you've always wanted to try these stamps and the vibrant colors we use in our samples and classes then come in or phone and sign up for our January Laurel Burch class.

Wild and Wacky week begins this Sunday, January 7. Come in for great discounts on all regular price merchandise. On Saturday, January 13 we have our progressive sale which begins at 6:30 am. Come in during that first 1/2 hour and get a coupon for 35% off your purchase, redeemable anytime on the 13th. Every hour from 7:00 am on the discount drops 5% until by 9:00 am everything is 20% for the rest of the day. REGULAR EXCLUSIONS STILL APPLY! For example, sale is not valid on Copics, Big Shots, and stamp manufacturers that limit the amount we can discount their products. Other restrictions will be posted.

New classes and the schedule is now available on the website. Call and sign up for classes! We are working on getting photos of all classes up on the website as soon as possible. Also, THE BILLS ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!! WhoooHooo! to all you Bills fans! We will be having our annual Super Bowl Party on Sunday, February 4. Details will be in future e-mails and on the web site.

Lastly, I've been away for two weeks from the blog and I wanted to share a fun video from a visit my daughter and I made to the Sugar Factory in Manhattan. All the drinks are heavily sugar and candy themed and they have these humongous drinks that come in big goblets. I ordered one and got a goblet filled with ice, peach gummies and a layer of cotton candy on top - whaaattt?!?! Another waiter came over a few minutes later and poured the liquid component into my goblet. Here's what happened...

It was great fun as was the time we spent in NYC and on Long Island with family. A great way to end 2017 and begin 2018! Happy New Year everyone!
