Double the Fun!

It's a two for one day here on the BSS blog. I've got Sharon's Wednesday video and todays. First up is the FB video from Wednesday. Sharon demonstrates some of her favorite products from PhotoPlay. I love their papers. They are a good quality with bright imaginative images and timeless patterns. Click to find the video HERE. I used to be able to test my links before I published my posts but this new version of Blogger doesn't let me do that. I checked last weeks post and I found my computer had stops and starts to the video. I'm hoping you don't have the same problem and that it was unique to my system. I will make an attempt to test the videos after I've posted but sometimes computers are computers😱!

I do have a few photos for you of product and a few announcements. First, Stamp Camp is coming! We are doing a hybrid, in-store, ZOOM Stamp Camp for the holidays. The dates will be posted by the end of the weekend and you will have the choice of coming to the store (with PPE protocols in place) or getting the kit and joining us via ZOOM. We have a great selection of cards for you and a variety of dates that we hope work for all of you who would like to join us. Kits will be ready shortly so we can mail out to our ZOOM friends near and far. That's what's exciting to me about this Stamp Camp. We can have viewers from around the country join us.

Sharon has also asked me to but our a request for anyone who does come into the store for a class. In addition to your regular supplies if you could bring your own supply of sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer to keep at your work station that would be a great help to us and will help you to speed up and keep up with us during classes. A few wipes in a plastic baggie and one of those little bottles of hand sanitizer is always a great thing to keep in your basic kit. 

We have some new classes coming up. If you watched the video you may have seen some of Sharon's prompts to me! Gnomes are big - still! Festive Gnomes and Turkey Talk are two new classes coming. Also, from Mama Elephant I will be doing a "Snow Much Fun" class. I'm working with Jess to get access again to the website so I can add class descriptions, dates and times. I hope to be active with all that by the end of the weekend. 

I did a little walk through the store and wanted to point out our Halloween section. Did you know we are running a Buy Two, Get the Third Free Sale on our Halloween stuff? Everything is eligible EXCEPT NEW PRODUCT.  You've got a week to go!

I'll try and take more photos and post over the weekend of the new product that came in but I found these as I was looking around. WOW makes great powders and they now come in coordinated packs of four. Some are glitter/color based, one is sparkle based and there are more. Check them out the next time you are in the store.

How do you think I've gotten through this so far, duh!

Well that's it for me for this week. I know I've been talking a lot about computer challenges, well we have a new one here in our house. We have a new puppy, Cooper. Cooper has found one of his favorite things to chew on (besides us) is computer cords. He's chewed at least 4 to the point (and it doesn't take more than one or two bites with his sharp little puppy teeth) where they don't work! Included in his list of devastation is two Apple laptop chargers, the original of my husband's AND the NEW one we bought. We're on our third...But, as the puppy says, "I'm the puppy, gotta love me!" And we do.

A Quickie for Today

I have a quick post for today featuring Sharon's FB Live from Saturday morning. You can see it HERE . You can see we're preparing for starting in-store classes, (on a limited basis) again and holiday Stamp Camp. I can also tell you the Mama Elephant Little Gnome Agenda Stamp Set may be gone by time this goes live. We sold all but one (the one Sharon had set aside for herself) when I finished work at 1:00 pm on Saturday! According to the Mama Elephant website they are already out of stock on the stamp set but still have dies available. It may be a while before we get a restock.

I'm not sure I have any photos for you. Let me see...Nope, sorry, no new photos 😱. So a short post for me today but I still have a little funny for you. (You have no idea how many times one of us at the store has gone home with a price tag stuck to them, somewhere!)

Keep'n Up!

Sometimes it's a challenge just to keep up with all that Sharon has new in the store and all that is going on. Sharon has done such a great job of keeping the store relevant and accessible to all our customers. It's exhausting and I'm only there two days a week! I'll start today with Wednesday's FB video. Sharon demonstrates the new IO slimline stamps. Wait til you see how well these work. You will find the video HERE.

Next up are some new product photos from Hero Arts, Waffle Flower and more. First up is a little repeat of what we posted last week. We want to show the combinations you can use with the hinged infinity dies and the holiday stamps from Hero Arts. You can make great flip open images with messages inside or tags for presents with these first two pair.

The same with these two. Create a unique gift card or present tag using the 'presents' stamp set and the infinity dies. There is also a square set that might suit this stamps set a bit better for some of the images. 

Don't want to get all technical with flaps and more? How about a simple package background stamp and a beautiful layered Merry Christmas to go on top. You can stamp the background in a monochromatic style and add pop with mirror paper and a matching colored or white Merry Christmas!

Go to town coloring with this bold print background stamp from Hero Arts and add a classic sentiment with this set from Waffle Flower. There's lots of variety in this Waffle Flower stamp to personalize your cards.

Also from Waffle Flower are these paper pads and border line die variety pack.

To go with that layered/shadowed Merry Christmas above, is a stamp set that you can use to add an additional border line or phrase. Also from WF a classic stamp set for all occasions. 

Deckled frames have been a favorite of mine for many years. I sold many of my edged scissors but I kept my deckled scissors. With this die set I may have to put my scissors into retirement!

BSS IDEA - Fall Lanterns

 WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF IDEA

Hello friends, hope everyone is well.

I was in the store this week, and it is packed with so many new products. I was

just running in to pick up an order I placed online and spent about an hour 

shopping.  I have a pile of stamps and dies I haven't used yet, but can not

control myself when I see all the new stuff.

Fall is definitely in the air.  We have some chestnut trees in

our front yard and with the wind we have had several days

this past week, the chestnuts were falling like rain.  Now

to rake...........ugh......

So in the spirit of Fall, here is this weeks card.

I love this stamp.  I wish I could grow these fun

plants, but I have tried with no results.

Saturday's Video and New Stuff!

 I've got Saturday's FB video for you HERE.

We also want to announce our new hours. We are extending Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday to 4:00 pm. We will continue to be closed on Sundays. Sharon needs the day off and we don't have enough coverage to open on Sundays at this time. Remember, you can check out our on-line store and call the store if you see something here on the blog, on Facebook, Instagram or in our e-mails that sings to you.

I've also got lots of photos of much of the product you saw in this video. Lets get started! These are two paper pads that coordinate with stamps we showed last week. 

Next up is the new release from Taylored Expressions.

You saw in the video how these stencils coordinate with the St. Nick Background stamp above and the Frosty Background below. When layered correctly, the stencil designs surround the stamp image and not over it, marring your stamp image!

Next up are new dies from Sizzix.

We also have new stamps from Woodware.

Hero has some great dies and holiday stamps.

LDRS also makes a great 6X6 paper pad and a sentiment stamp. 

These next few stamps are adorable. I thought of Debbie when I saw them. She would have loved these. I added the samples where I could.

A great interactive stamp and die set. The doors and window in the tree opens!

A lovely Geisha girl stamp.

LDRS makes a making paper for your stamping designs. You'll find it along our adhesive all at the back of the store.

IO has come out with a great set of slimline stamps. Most companies have slimline dies, IO is one of the first companies to come out with stamps you can use as backgrounds. 

IO also makes some classic dies for your cards for the holidays.

It was a busy, busy week for opening boxes. Christmas in October! I hope something in here gave you some inspiration for your cards and pages.
