Hello Everyone!!

We can definitely say that the warm weather has gone away until next year. I am going to try not to turn the heat on until November but, it has gotten chilly. How Western New York weather can change so quickly!

This cold weather has caused me to have thoughts about the holidays. If you know me at all, you know that I absolutely love Christmas and I will admit that I have listened to some Christmas carols-- only in my vehicle though.

This past week Sharon showed some new Stamps and dies from Penny Black's holiday collection. The store does have some samples from the new collection but, there are two stamps that did not have samples of them. So I decided that these stamps were just too adorable not to be shown on cards.

These two Penny Black stamps were such a pleasure to color. The images are so nicely detailed that they are truly the focal point of a card. Because these images are so wonderful on their own, I simply cut three solid cardstock layers in similar colors to my colored images and then layered them (with some foam squares to pop the layers). I did use My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangle die to cut out my colored image.

Supplies used:

Penny Black stamps--Owl-ways Merry #30-750, Darling delivery #30-883

Nuvo Shimmer Pen (on the Owl's hat and the snow)

Matching cardstock

Copics:

YG01,03,23,25

R32,35,37,39

E11,13,15,30,31,34,55,57

B0000,00,02,04

I hope that everyone has a great week! --Kim
