Wednesday’s Wrap-Up

We’re doing a few things a little differently today. First up, Saturday’s video has been lost to the ‘cloud’. We’ve given up trying to find it as Sharon did not hit ‘share’ when she posted Saturday’s video, and I thought it was me!

Second, Sharon had a G45 class this morning that was not going to finish on time for her regular video so she decided to do her Wednesday video Wednesday night at 7:00 pm. We have a little review, a little kicked up basic technique video, a review of one of Sharon’s recent classes.

Let’s start with a review of the new Spellbinders release from Wednesday. Here’s everything!

This large ‘hi’ is part of a new alphabet from Spellbinders. Check out the video for info on the full alphabet, pricing and discount. Also, this ‘hi’ is a stitching die. As Sharon points out, you don’t have to stitch. You can use gems in place of the sewing.

Next up is a group of birthday stamp sets and dies. The box is a fan favorite and we’re looking forward to getting more in along with future coordinating stamp and die embellishment sets for the holidays.

Close-up of the size of the wonky cake die. This would be great on a slim line card.

There are a series of pie dies. Pie tops, pie slices and pie utensils.

Next up is a few variations on a Pretty Pink Posh three piece coordinating set. Sharon show how color can change your look And how adding embossing powder can kick your coloring up a notch or two.

Sharon added embossing powder to these images. As you scroll through the pictures I’ve tried to show the texture that one then two applications of embossing powder can bring. Again, check the video on YouTube for a more detailed explanation.

We also had a few photos of new product. From Waffle Flower, This multiple circle set of dies can be used in so many ways.

Multiple widths and sizes of foam strips. Gotta get me these!

A rustic, grunge version of a honeycomb from Creative Expressions.

Taking the kids or grandkids to the zoo this summer? These die cuts are great for scrapbook pages and cards.

Sharon likes this die set because of the ginkgo leaves.

Next up Sharon uses a Penny Black die, 3 layers, a little bit of basic inking and shows how embossing powder can make it pop. In all these demos Sharon used WOW embossing clear ink and Hero Arts clear embossing powder. Both Hero and WOW are our favorite inks and powders for this technique. (I hope they are in order.) Sharon added three layers of powder on top of three layers of the die. She also tried to show adding powder to her sentiment.

The final version. Sharon will finish and show on Saturday.

Last up are some photos from Sharon’s Hero Arts Window class. We have the dies in the store. Several make great ‘guy’ cards. Father’s Day is right around the corner. If you like to die cut and layer, these die sets are for you.

I’m done! Although I have to put in a word for the Garage Sale, June 26th, a Sunday. Call the store if you want to be a seller for all your details. The sale runs from 10-1, CASH only for Garage Sale items, please.
Maker Mania sign-ups are still available. A box with Sizzix and 49th & Market, Sharon can not wait! Your sign up deadline is June 25th.

Here’s a funny for today. My husband says I do this…

UPDATE: I told you several weeks ago about the bird that made a nest in one of the wreathes on our front door. Those youngsters have fledged and left the nest. My husband found a second nest in the other wreath! We had six! eggs in this one and as you can see several hungry babies. We’re not sure exactly how many as we don’t want to disturb them overly much. The closest we are to being grandparents for a long, long time!

That’s it for today, another video, a tag team video on Saturday with Mona and a reminder the store is closing at 3:00pm on Saturday and beginning in July will close at 3:00 every Saturday for the month. For a change, stay cool and most of all Stay Safe everyone.
