Saturday Surprise

Today was a product driven post with several cards using the embossing samples Sharon did on Wednesday’s video. Lots to see so let’s get started. First up is a re-stock of a popular Pretty Pink Posh die that Kim used in her Monday inspiration card.

Several new dies from IO and Fantastic Stamper. This first Hero Arts set is an oldie but a goodie that Sharon often goes to for sentiments. The IO and Frantic Stamper dies are great for guys and retirement.

Next up is a challenge. Sharon has several of these My Favorite Things dimensional flower dies on sale for $5.00 and she challenged Janet, who works in the store and Lucia, one of our very talented customers to make a flower! This die is wound around a thin round handle or a quilling tool if you have one. Adjust it to the tightness you want then put glue on the bottom and attach the glued surface to the little circle at the end of your petals.

Next are new Waffle Flower products. First, similar to their watercolor mat, Waffle Flower makes a rubbery pad that can sit on your work surface, not move and has depressions to hold your ink pads. They come in three sizes for rectangle pads, distress ink sized square pads and mini ink pads. These pads can hold you ink pads in place while you pick up ink with your stamping/distressing/brush tools. It may let you use only one hand, the hand holding your tool. They clean up easily but they will stain if not cleaned or you if are using a really dark color but it does not affect how you use the pad. I've got a photo of the rectangle and the mini. In this first one Sharon is using a smaller sized pad but you can see that the opening on the left will fit a standard size rectangular ink pad.

Also from WF we have this collection based on books. First is a sentiment set followed by a die cut set that features opened and closed books. There is also a book frame and a book mark set.

WF also has some Fancy Frames and new foil plates.

These paper pads were gone as soon as Sharon previewed them. I believe more are on order. These are Disney based collections from the UK. These pads are 8X8.

Here are the finished cards from Wednesday’s embossing powder demo. There are three layers of powder on this first one.

You can see where Sharon ran the background piece she created through an embossing folder for a little extra dimension, This card was done with Tim Holtz embossing glazes.

Sharon added a lot of sparkle to the flowers and their centers. She also used the words from Tim Holtz Label Stickers that look like the classic letters created by a Dymo label maker.

Next up is Photoplay. I’ve tried to show the back of each product's packaging as they give you a sample using the product.

Several odds and ends before our last collection. First is My Favorite Things.

We used to have about 30 of these adorable little girls several years ago. Keeping a much smaller collection now.

A new ephemera collection

Filler for your shaker cards.

Lastly for new product we have moulds and resin filler. Sharon said she will do a video on this in the near future.

A little housekeeping or store keeping; we are selling tickets for the Stamp Scrap Art Tour for $7.00 and as I told you in my last post we will not be a vendor at the show. Sharon also announced that beginning Monday we are having a Whole Store Sale. 20% off the entire store. This is an in-store sale. NEW PRODUCT RELEASES and REGULAR EXCLUSIONS APPLY. That said, there are a lot of great deals to be had. The sale runs from Monday through Saturday. Also, don’t forget Stamp Camp. We have ZOOM and in store dates. Maker Mania kits will be shipping out shortly. Lastly there is a new Spellbinders class coming up direct from Spellbinders. Check the class descriptions for dates and times of all our classes.

My funny for the post.

That’s it until Wednesday night's video. Have a crafty good week everyone and Stay Safe!
