A Little Wednesday, A Little Saturday

I’ve got a little of both in this post. First up is Sharon’s project video from Wednesday featuring two Sizzix dies that come together in a dimensional project. The first part of this project is a 3-D frame die. It makes four columns that fit together. You need to add a back piece but it's main feature is that it lets you add dimensional objects.

Sharon has made her four columns or sides and is attaching them together easily with a little Nuvo Glue.

The final assembled frame.

Sharon featured this die a while ago and was intrigued and challenged to use it. Enclosed is four different, dimensional floral and leaf interpretations.

You can see almost all of the pieces in this set here..

First up is the large fan style leaf. A simple scoring and accordion fold and you are done!

Next is a take on a berry. Cut four little circles that are scored down the middle and attach them back to back to make a little berry! Notice that Sharon added florist wire to each of the leaves and berries to make combining them in a 3-D arrangement easier.

Next up is the 'pod' piece. The four petal die is the base of this pod. First, take the corresponding thin leaf sheaf piece an gently punch a hole in the pod piece and the leaf piece, thread another wire through them both, anchor with glue and let dry completely before gently bending the petal pieces up and joining them to each other with small tab pieces on each petal.

The last piece is a little hard to describe, but easy to create. Take the long strip piece with the cuts in a ladder style pattern down the middle and fold it in half long way. Put a thin line of glue down the outside edge and join the two sides. This will create a line of little tabs .

Gently, fold each tab, one tab at a time, first to the left and the next to the right all the way down the strip.

Then take a poking tool or a pencil tip and gently open every tab creating loops all the way down. Don't forget to add your floral wire when you glue the two sides together.

Sharon added a fern die as part of her arrangement. This one came from a Honey Bee set called Lovely Leaves.

This is a sample Sharon made before the video. Note: she also used a full size version of the leaf. Sharon's demo is a smaller size that she created by simply cutting the original down.

What else can you do with these dies? How about making a little bouquet to add to a present? Imagine using winter/holiday colors for your holiday presents.

Here are both projects together. Sharon also added some jute ribbon and an unfolded version of that last die she used in her arrangement.

Next up is new product from Saturday's video. First is a whole lot of Gina K! Dies are here for the holidays. This first one is ornament toppers.

You can make your own or create ornaments with these dies.

A great outdoors stamp from Gina K, think guy cards.

They also have this cute set with these adorable little animals. It has a matching die set.

Gina K also has embossing folders.

Lastly, we have this adorable patterned paper pack.

Sharon said she was an embossing folder girl and the word is several of these new folders from Altenew will be going home with her and samples and maybe a class will be in our future.

Sharon really liked this folder.

Tim Holtz released his Holiday collection Saturday at noon. We have these Mica Sprays right now. Be warned, these are a one and done. Once Ranger is out of these holiday colors, they are gone so get them while you can!

Next up is new Spellbinders products. They have a new designer working with them who is familiar to many, Simon Hurley. Sharon loves this foil plate set as it comes with the matching die and stamp set. Both pieces cut as one making it easy peasy.

These two are right up my alley. Tiered trays for kitchens are really in right now. The die on the left is all the little items you put in the tray, the die on the right makes the tray!

Retro TV!

A Sharon favorite!

Sharon loves this guy!

Candy Cane background plate that can make a great plaid.

Last for Spellbinders and Simon Hurley is this foil plate.

Last up is one of Sharon's favorites, Whipper Snapper, lots of Whipper Snapper!
