Smile, You’re on Candid Wednesday!

I missed Wednesday’s video so I had to check the replay today. But first Sharon has a Halloween surprise.
Welcome to the 31 Days of Halloween. Everyday this month Sharon is hiding (in plain sight) one of these pumpkin boxes. Inside could be a sweet treat, a coupon for a store discount or maybe a free item. Have fun with with your own trick or treat hunt! One pumpkin per person for the month.

Before Sharon's creative video I have some new product photos. First up is new Foil-It packs from Taylored Expressions.

Next is more designs from Simon Hurley. He's been a very busy guy! Spooky, quirky monsters for your little monsters and beautiful background stamps.

Last more journaling stamps and die options from Elizabeth Designs.

Now for Sharon's creative inspiration, new die sets from Elizabeth Designs. The first is a Sharon favorite, an old fashioned camera.

Our first project is this vintage camera. You can see all the pieces Sharon already cut and what the card looks like from the packaging.

Here are all the parts of this die. Notice the tabbed die inside the rectangle base die on the right side. It will come into play in a big way later on.

Like many dies today that involve layers, this die has gentle embossed areas that show you where the next level will go. The is a real help in assembling this style die.

Add all your other pieces to your camera front. Use thin pop squares so it looks more natural.

Sharon used a distressed library card embossing folder mat along with another thinner mat in beige.

Pop your camera on to your embossed mat, add a 'Smile' and a flower and your card is finished. Sharon did not add the other lease front to the top portion of the card because it clashed to much with her 'Smile'.

The second version of this card turns it into a dimensional holder for 2X3 photos. You can see in the tiny photo that Sharon is pointing to an idea of what comes next.

Sharon created a second card front in grays.

Sharon used the extra dies in the package to create slots for the tabbed styled library card die I mentioned above. She also got creative in creating a base for the camera that is NOT included in the die set. With this base the library cards sit in the camera and do not fall through. Think of the slots or sections you will creat like the shelves or layers in a box card. It's the same idea.

This was a hard assembly to get good photos from. I hope you can see the vision.

You can just see the white index/library cards inside the sections.

This is the TV die and you can do the same thing with this die as you did with the camera. You can do it flat on a card front or you can add the same sections (landscape this time).

Here are the two finished cameras. The card on the left and the dimensional camera with it's sections for individual pictures on the right.

Last for Sharon is HoneyBee's layered flowers. She doesn't pop these layers but she does add a little distressed ink to the edges of the petals. She likes that on each package back is layering instructions.

My funny for today.

That's it for today. Ill be back again after Saturday's video. Until then, keep making and Stay Safe!
