We’ve got a lot going on this weekend both in the store and at the Fairgrounds in Hamburg. I have a lot of new product for you at the store and the Stamp Scrap Art Tour is in town at the Fairgrounds through Sunday. We will be open this Sunday(8/26) ONLY for those of you in town for the show. We will be open on Sunday, the 27th from 12-3 pm. WE ARE NOT A VENDOR AT THE SHOW!
Come in to the store on your way to the show or on your way home. We are jam packed with the latest and greatest from just about everyone. New Fall and early Christmas releases are coming in daily. I have the latest and greatest from our Wednesday night technique video, Mona’s Friday project video and Sharon’s Saturday review and new product video. As Sharon says, “get a cup of coffee, pull up a chair and let’s look at what’s new.” First up are samples from Sharon’s Wednesday night video.
This is one of our new layered stencils from Concord & 9th. Sharon made multiple cards using this stencil and lots and lots of ink colors. This different color palette featuring grays and browns is a new favorite.
Sharon will also use this new background script stamp from Hero Arts.
Sharon starts with the largest stencil first. This stencil has three layers.
Sharon used blending brushes and colored the large background first.
She then took a small detail brush and added another layer of color at the edges of where she previously colored to give the image more dimension.
Here you can see her final coloring.
Then Sharon went a little wild. This first version was done with Catherine Pooler ink and leaves with IO.
Next Sharon used Memento's Toffee Crunch with the Hero Arts large scripty stamp over the image.
Fall is around the corner so next is two samples with the IO inks you see on the right.
After Sharon colored her second fall sample she ran it through with an embossing folder.
The embossed sample on the left and the stamped scripty image is on the right.
Sharon found this sentiment die in her stash and couldn't decide which card to put it on.
Brighter, traditional colors are next. In the sample on the right, Sharon used her blending brush to add a light layer of blue to accent the stencil image along with a linen look stamp.
Sharon used this Concord & 9th classic die set featuring large 'hello' and 'hi'.
This sample uses this background cover from Pink Fresh.
Lawn Fawn’s latest Fall and early winter release. First is this stitched snowflake die. You can check the Lawn Fawn blog/website for patterns. You could also easily use this one to make a spider web.
Two new 6X6 paper pads.
This creates a crate.
Pair the crate with these gourds and pumpkins.
Next is this farm tractor and animal stamp set.
This cute add-on features Lawn Fawn's signature mice and is sold with the die.
On to Halloween, this is a great background die set with several add-ons.
The latest version of the little treat box dies. This one is a little ghost!
Lawn Fawn's latest interactive die is the 'Ta Da Diorama'. We should have several in store samples as soon as Mona gets her hands on this one!
There is also a hill maker add-on.
When closed this card sample lies flat so you can fit it into a standard envelope. Pull at the tab openings at each side and 'Ta Da!' and unveil a cute little diorama of your own creation. This sample has another new stamp set featuring a wolf family.
More samples.
Another in LF's Simply Celebrate Series with an add-on set of more sayings.
Here's that wolf set we saw above.
A stand alone mistletoe die set.
Magic Iris Holly Wreath add-on. You can also use this without the magic iris set.
There are two new bird house sets. This first is a stamp set with matching dies.
This second set is an add-on to the die set in the next photo. These are stand-alone dies.
Winter Wonderland Window Die.
Winter Birds Stamp Set and we have the matching die and the mini set.
Lawn Fawn's Snow Globe Die.
Last for Lawn Fawn, their new Washi tapes.
Next up is Stampers Anonymous, Tim Holtz Collection of Halloween Stamps and stencils.
Mona's in the house! We showed Taylored Expression's Tube Holder die last week. Mona used some fun Halloween paper and built one. It's easy peasy and the fun comes in how you decorate the holder.
Mona also broke out her connected gnome die the original and new add-ons for Halloween.
If you go on Taylored Expressions website you can download this project sheet to help you build these gnomes.
Mona assembled a second group of gnomes and showed how she does their feet so they are all on the same level. She uses her MISTI or other stamp platform and lines them along one side so she can add the shoes/feet in the same place for each one.
The final gomes.
Sharon was back with a new release from Pink Fresh. First are new holiday sentiments for either the inside or outside of your cards.
We have stamps, dies and stencils for this wildflower collection.
New cover plates.
Pink Fresh also has this holiday ticket set,
Sharon's favorite, this holly glimmer plate and matching stencil and die.
Starry glimmer plate.
Hero has a new release featuring bears! This first is a bundle of a stamp set and matching die. A mother bear, her cub and the Northern Lights.
There is also this large bear with it's cub. The die is included.
Last is this die set that features a bear and her cubs with the forest in the background.
Also new is this series of number dies from 0 to 9.
Sharon also liked this poinsettia die and matching stencil sets.
There is also this large poinsettia.
This was a favorite that is back again.
This ornament die set compliments the matching stencil set.
This candy cane die set has been very popular.
Another cover plate die.
This transfer set was used in several of these samples.
We have a little trick to share featuring this sentiment bundle that includes the stamp and dies.
First, without cutting the die apart, cut out a page of the images.
Place the stamps inside the corresponding die openings while in your MISTI
Close your door, pick up the stamps and then stamp multiple sets of your image. When you go to die cut them the image will fit right into the openings of you die!

Another Hero set of forest images.
Lastly, we have some new Woodware starting with this sentiment set.
The mad doctor gnome!
A great spider web background stamp.
That's it for this week. It was a lot! I believe we will have more next including some new Doodlebug, maybe... My funny for today. The advancement of technology!
I hope you all have a chance to visit the store this weekend and possibly the show at the Fairgrounds. Until next week, get your crafty one and above all Stay Safe!
