Sharon has had a busy last week. She and Mark were able to enjoy some quality time with little Manny last weekend so there was no FB post. There has also been so much new product coming in, new classes for us along with classes for Sharon almost every day and nights also. This past Wednesday Sharon did a FB video and featured several techniques for using 3D embossing folders. Take a look..
Sharon started with this 3D floral folder with matching die from a Open Studio which is a division of Memory Box.
First up, Sharon offset the folder on Kraft paper and then used colored pencils to add a touch of color and highlights.
The next sample Sharon used a small brush to add color.
Next, running the folder through on watercolor paper and adding color with a paintbrush and ink.
Sharon used a piece of scratch paper to mask off the main image so she could do a little splatter on the background.
This one was colored with Copics and has a little of that sparkle spray that Sharon loves.
I believe this was also Copics.
This is an embossing folder from Lisa Horton. Sharon embossed it in red, cut it out with it's matching die and then added highlights with a red Copic before adding it to some festive Christmas paper for a quick card. This folder, like the other shown has a matching die.
Another Lisa Horton design. Sharon cut out the embossed image on white and colored with Copics.
Some finished samples.
These next samples are too cute! Mona and Sharon shared from Doodlebug, these collage images created with Doodlebug stickers, enamel dots and foam tape. There is a craft collage, Halloween, Christmas, school, and fall. They fit in Doodlebug frames that come in white, brown, and black. We currently have a few white and brown frames in stock. The black ones are on order and due in later this month. Sharon also has an order in for all of the currently released collage kits because they fly out of the store as soon as they come in. To insure you get the one(s) you like, call the store and reserve yours now.
You build your collage on vellum paper over the guide below. The figures with 'X's indicate stickers that are popped up. The little dots and stars come from Doodlebug enamel dots. Both the stickers and the dots are included in your kit. You will also have enough left over to make a card or two!
Here is the Santa/Christmas kit.
Mona took this Halloween die set from Doodlebug and created one of Sharon’s favorite box cards.
We have these Hero Arts edge dies, the snowman, the elf and the candy canes back in stock. Mona took two candy canes and made a heart out of them.
We also have these Halloween dies from Spellbinders that can go with the envelope die we showed last week or in a flat envelope as in the card the card below.
Two swinging cards from Spellbinders with Day of the Dead themes. There is also a ghost but they are going fast!
From Woodware and Echo Park floral images. Also, a great little sentiment stamp from Woodware.
More from Spellbinders, floral stems and a sunflower wax stamp.
More odds and ends, this Halloween stamp set from Waffle Flower and this unusual die set from IO. We will have a sample using this set and if you look closely you’ll see some creepy facial features.
Two IO Halloween stamp sets.
New and restock on several Sizzix thinlits dies from Tim Holtz for Halloween and Christmas.
Gorgeous Holiday papers in both gold and silver along with god and silver printed acetate sheet.
Lots from Waffle Flower. Several Christmas sentiments in different size along with holiday die and stencils images.
This year's Spellbinder's Advent Calendar is in. Great for a gift for your best crafty friend or for yourself. Just don't pull a Mona and open all the doors before December 1! (Yes, she opened all of her's already!)
The calendar looks like a large book and when you open it you see all the presents with numbers on them. Each box has a perforated flap to enable you to open the box on it's day. There are stamps, dies, stencils and embellishments in the boxes.
More from Woodware. They make lovely holiday stamps that are a favorite of Sharons.
I finally broke down and bought the Pink and Main folding envelope box die. The creative card below by Heidi wore down my resistance! She used Lawn Fawn's Wolf stamp set.
Next is Honey Bee. This first item is one of their embossing folders of leaves and berries.
A new cover plate die.
This embossing folder is called burlap. What a great folder this is! I can see it being a favorite.
The Wagon Wheel
This is the Bountiful Banner. I believe it also has a coordinated stencil, stamp and embossing folder.
Wonderful sentiment set for our inspiration collection.
Great gourds, leaves and pumpkins that go great in the die that follows.
A bushel basket!
...and paper to coordinate.
Fall flowers
A hay wagon with interchangeable contents.
Coordinating frame dies you can use in year round projects.
Finally we have classes, lots of great new classes. First up is this 49 & Market class
Spectacular Specs.
Our weekly Watercolor Thursday class - You are always welcome to join even if you haven't taken any of the previous classes.
This month's Graphic 45 class featuring the Love collection.
These next two are an easel card class from Woodware.
Sharon started this series last month. It features Penny Black postage stamp die that was included in the first class.
Sharon is doing Part 2 and you need to have the die from the first class for this one. There will also be a Halloween and a Christmas version coming.
Pink Fresh Winter Berries class. The stamp and die are included. There is also an additional stencil add-on.
That was a long post! Here is my funny for the week. I'll be back next week as long as Sharon is back! Maker Main 8 is this weekend coming up so we will be busy. I hope you can make some time to come to the store. There is so much new and fun product for Fall, Halloween and Christmas that you need to see in person.
Until the next time, stay crafty my friends and above all, Stay Safe.
