Wednesday's FB Live and a Tip

Hi! everyone, I have Sharon's FB Live video from Wednesday and a little idea that may help you organize  your stamped images. First up is Sharon's video. There is a guest speaker and a sample so enjoy HERE. Photoplay makes a great selection of pre-made dimensional cards, booklets, and other decorative pieces that just require you to follow the directions and end up with a unique paper piece. The cardstock is a good, solid weight that makes a great base for your design. Check out the variety of styles we have in the store near the 8 1/2" X 11" papers or just ask the next time you are in. Every style we currently have is also in our on-line store.

I don't have any product photos today (Sharon always seems to send them AFTER I do my posts), but I do have a tip I'd like to pass on. Many of us stamp multiple images, especially those of us who like Lawn Fawn, MFT and Mama Elephant. I'm one of them. I'm not going to waste a whole or half sheet of Express-It paper on one stamped image. So I fill a sheet and then color what I need and are left with the rest. I don't want to throw any of these out and waste good coloring paper so I cut out with dies or with my Scan n' Cut all the images I've stamped. I need a way to store these images so I know I have them and how many.  I used to put them in the packaging with the stamp or the die but that was getting cumbersome. So, I've turned to plastic baseball card sleeve holders and a three-ring binder. Here are some examples of the pages in my binder.

I even put labels, banners and straight die cuts in the little pouches.

Office Depot has different sized compartment sleeves which work great for large sized die cuts so I have a few of those too at the back of the binder. I hope this idea may work for you too.

I've been making cards lately to be ready for birthdays I know are coming up. This first one is for my nephew, who at 30 and a cop in NYC, is a little hard to figure out what to make. He and his wife are really into goth, hard rock and stuff I'm clueless about so I went with the safest idea. There's a little snarky (very little) sentiment inside that seemed suited for the card and for him.

One of my close friends has a grandson named Harrison. Harrison turns 3 or 4 next month and I try and keep in touch with his mom and dad and his grandmothers. This die from Sizzix is named "Harrison" so I thought it would be a cute idea for a card for the human Harrison.  Lots of little pieces  but fun to put together.

My funny today sounds like a George Carlin skit, or the great mysteries of life! Enjoy

That's it for me today. Have a crafty good week and weekend, enjoy the sun and warmer temps and above all STAY SAFE! Many of us have had our vaccine shots but much more have not. We still need to practice social distancing and wearing our masks!
