Play Ball!

I know it's a little cold out there for the first day of April but it's a sacred holiday in my house that weather cannot deter, Opening Day! If you've read my posts for any length of time, on occasion I stray from the land of ink and stamps and move over to the land of balls and strikes. For days my husband has been checking the weather forecast for NYC in anticipation of the Pinstripes taking that glorious field of green grass and watching that first pitch. This year he planned his work day around the game, asking his admin to not book any meetings during game time. He's a Yankee's fan and by the power of 46 years of marriage and an additional 5 years of acquaintance so am I, just not as obsessed as he is.

Now it's my time and to celebrate the beginning of April I have A LOT of photos for you of new and restocked product and maybe a class preview or two. Let's start with Sharon's video from Wednesday, You can find it HERE.

I'm starting with a little shameless self-promotion. I check each new release from Graphic 45 for the cover sheet of their new collections. As a Long Island/New England girl, I always love a good sea, beach, sailing collection. G45's latest did not disappoint. I love this collection! I take the cover page and cut out multiple layers and pop them on top of each other giving the page dimension. It may be hard to see in this photo, but I popped almost every element. I'll attach a piece of 12X12 chipboard to the back to give it a little stability and Sharon can display it in the store.

We have individual sheets of most of these papers.

Sharon showed these laser cut chip shapes last week and here is a close up. I plan on using the one below with the papers above to create a By-the-Sea scrapbook layout. They go so well together.

These laser chips are so delicate and formal that I thought they'd go great with another G45 collection shown below this photo.

On to new stuff. As you can see by the title, AI (Art Impression), has a new line of mini dies. Here are the ones Sharon has gotten in, lots of different themes.

We shared items from the new Tim Holtz release and here are a few close-ups. This first collection of words and sentiments look like the old plastic wheel embossing labeler. You'd have to turn the wheel to the desired letter, squeeze the handle and then on to the next letter until you finished your label. This is way easier!

We first thought these were tins, they're not. It's just the covers. I can see these in a shadow box or a dimensional feature in a scrapbook layout.

Buttons, buttons, Tim loves buttons!

What's your favorite way to add a little colored dimension to your projects? Nuvo drops OR

Stickles! We have them both!

Seth Apter sprays - This is Dye ink so be careful!

We love, love, love WOW embossing powders. We carry regular embossing powders in a variety of colors to use with your Versamark ink pads and WOW's embossing ink pad along with embossing glitter. Make sure you read the label because they are packaged identically.

More chipboard love. These two sets have lots of words/sentiments and more to add to your cards, scrapbook layouts and mixed media projects.

Easter weekend is upon us so I'm sharing some cards and store decorations with you. First these two cards make great use of Lawn Fawn's 6X6 inch plaid paper pack. These packs have a great scaled down version of their 12X12 papers that make them perfect for cards.

Next up are slimline dies and more from Spellbinders. These are proving to be crazy popular and they make lovely cards.

More from Spellbinders.

...and more!

More Easter cards,

Here is a lovely card made with Honey Bee's Easter lilly die.

Lastly, I'm back to self promotion. I'm working on a class using a Twist and Pop die to create an interactive card. It's still a work in progress but I should be able to have samples in the store by Monday.

Lastly, who doesn't love a pink chick with bunny ears?!

I'll be back on Saturday with Sharon's Saturday video and maybe more product photos, who knows!
Until then Happy Crafting, and STAY SAFE - and get your vaccinations!
