If all would be believed, it’s the storm of the decade. I prefer to wait and see. I am prepared, and will enjoy sitting just watching it snow. The Bills-Browns game has been moved to Detroit, thank you for TV!
Sharon made five cards using a new and simple new design, a triangle card. I’ll do my best to give you understandable directions to go with the photos I captured. Let’s get started.
Using an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of paper, score down the middle in both directions. Then, and this is important, cut your paper on the diagonal from the upper left hand corner to the bottom right hand corner. Fold back on your score lines. You fold with the valley side up.

As you can see the top triangle will fold down and the side flap will fold toward the center

You can see the card base folded below. To create a mat for each triangle, cut a 4x5 1/4 rectangle and cut on the diagonal from top left to bottom right. This size will give you a thin border around your mat.

Now comes the fun part, decorating.
Sharon used this die set from Waffle Flower. To decorate the ‘flap’ that goes on the top of one of your triangles.
This die will cut two cardinals, one in each direction and the greenery. Sharon matted a small white rectangle on a green rectangle.
Sharon wasn’t sure of the positioning she wanted but we’ll see in the final card. When you adhere your ‘flap’ make sure you attach to only one triangle or the card will not open.
Next up is a birthday card. You can use the other diagonal piece from your first cut. Follow the photos as the assembly is exactly the same.
Sharon used this candle die from Reverse Confetti. She put different colored strips behind each candle cut out and yellow for the flames. Unfortunately, Reverse Confetti is no more but I’m sure you can find candles or a cake or whatever you’d like in your birthday stash.
Next up is a winter floral card. The paper is from Echo Park. The front of the paper is a deep blue background with variety of blue flowers. However, Sharon is using the plaid backside of the paper as her background and then fussy cut the flowers from the floral side. Combine with a white impressed doily to put your flowers on and you have a great card.
This next card features this Soellbinders snowflake die. You get five different sizes of snowflakes in this set. Sharon created the plastic dot by heating these plastic disks we have in the store.

Doodlebug and Bella Blvd. have combined to coordinate their paper with dimensional stickers.
Sharon grabbed a sheet of Bills blue patterned paper for her next card. This is all she had during the video but she will have a finished card at the end to share.
Lastly, we have a cute gnomie Santa on gnomie holiday paper.
Echo Park paper again with an Echo Park die.
Sharon kicked this up a bit by embossing her white mat.
This card design can stand up!
Sharon posted the cards she finished this afternoon on Facebook so I thought I’d share.
I’ll finish with a few product photos. Let’s start with samples of several of the dies we’ve seen over the last couple of weeks.
Doodlebug always has such fun papers!
Here are some of the finished cards that Sharon did last week with the box die.
Restocking on great holiday glitter!
Oops! I forgot to straighten this Graphic 45 collection. It’s the Flower Market Collection.
Look familiar? This is the floral side of the Echo Park paper Sharon used on the card above. You can see by the strip at the bottom what the back of the paper looks like. I love companies that do this.
Concord and 9th’s Snow Globe stamp and matching die set was the topic of Kim’s Monday Inspiration post. You can see her finished card here.
49th & Market rub-on-transfers and ephemera add ons.
Sizzix’s colorized layered flower die. What great holiday colors!
For all you out there having to assemble Christmas gifts, here is my PSA for the day…
Remember the store is CLOSED Friday due to the weather. Please enjoy this weather by staying indoors and crafting away. Most of all be careful out there if you have to go out and as always Stay Safe!
