Waiting on the Bills - and Stamping of Course!

It’s Saturday night and we’re watching the Browns and are looking forward to the Bills later on. Sharon and Mona contributed to todays video with Sharon starting with new product and then Mona will show how she assembled the Spellbinders shakers/swingers for the holidays, so let’s get started. Sharon started with this LDRS 6 piece tag die. As you can see from the second photo you get 6 tags (which are perfect for your holiday packages - hint, hint!

Mona stepped in while Sharon had to help a customer to give you this tip. No, we aren't pushing Easter but this carrot die can be turned upside down and you have a Christmas tree!

Sharon was back with this new tool from Lisa Horton, the Ultimate-mate 2. This platform does everything BUT be a stamping platform. It comes with a cool cover piece, it has a blending platform silicone mat, it can store your tools and turn it over and you have a scoreboard! We have three left in the store as of this video. A great all-around tool especially for those of you who take your supplies on the road.

Next up are these ink sets from Studio Light. Sharon order these for those who like to do ink layered stamp sets where you need a light, medium, dark in the same color family. We have green, purple and blue. We're waiting on pink which is on back order.

This is an oldie but a goodie with a new spin. It's hard to see but these are cut apart string of hearts stickers that have glitter to them.

Next up are two packaged stamp and die included sentiment sets. These have a lovely script font that is perfect for both the inside and front of your cards.

Then there is this Thinking of You' die that includes the outline shadow, the main text and two additional sprigs of leaves. There is also a change in font in this die. I'd really like to see what this one looks like cut.

A lovely new paper pack, Little Robin Redbreast has lovely floral paper patterns with gold foil accent on several of the pages.

There is also a coordinating 3D embossing folder with the same name.

Mona is up next with the holiday version of Spellbinders shaker die sets. They may be better called ‘swingers’ as the legs swing back in forth. We still have several of these in stock. Check the on-line store for availability. Mona has them all! She’s showing the ‘Shopper’ and ‘Santa’. As always, Mona does wonderfully detailed videos. She explains and shows exactly how you assemble AND throws in a couple of her assembly hacks for good measure. If you want to see the full version of this assemble check out the store’s YouTube channel in a few days. Jess is on the road to Buffalo but will post as soon as she catches her breath!

The Reindeer

Santa Claus

Gnome

The Shopper

The Snowman

Mona had already assembled the shopper but wanted to show you how she mounted it on the card. First, Mona used a background snowflake die from Concord & 9th to create the mat she mounted the  shopper to.

Also she wanted to show you how she affixes the mat to the card base. She uses scor-tape around the outside edge and a strip on the diagonal. Why on the diagonal? Because most times the piece that will be attached to the front of the mat will multi-dimensional and will probably be down the middle of the card. She doesn't want to add more layers than is necessary

Here you can see how many dies are in this shopper.

This is the back side of the shopper. Mona’s thumb is resting on the foam strips she adhered to the top of the shopper to match the height of the foam circle that the legs swing from. The Christmas tree? That’s just a scrap Mona used to cover the circle so the legs don’t come off.

Mona also featured this Lawn Fawn paper pad that has foiled snow paper and regular snow background paper.

Mona also used this nested A2 rectangle set from Waffle Flower. Another Mona hack, she marks the dimensions of the largest die and the increment that separates each layer.

Here are the dies in the snowman and Mona’s finished card.

Mona assembled the Santa from scratch in the video.  She also showed how she uses the Brutus Monroe sticky mat to keep track of all the bits and pieces of this die set.

Finishing the head and adhering it to the body.

The body is done and you can see the the legs sitting over a round foam circle.

The legs are in place and Mona has found another scrap piece of paper to cover the foam circle to keep the legs from falling off.

Her Santa is almost done. It's time to add strips of foam adhesive to raise the upper portion of the Santa so the legs will swing more freely and its easier to mount your swinger.

Santa is holding a scroll of his deliveries or whose been naughty or nice, the scroll has two pieces, the main part of the scroll and a top piece you need to add on and curl. It has a scoreline on it and Mona's hack because it' so small is to fold it on the valley side first, this makes it easier to fold back as you normally would. I'd use a very thin stick like a skewer or the handle on my dental pick to curve the top piece.

Mona then adheres the other arm of the Santa that will hold a present.

The final card. The saying is another Spellbinders die set. I'm sorry I don't have a photo.

I’m forever moaning about how my daughter never sends me pictures when she’s traveling. The trip she is coming home from tomorrow is no exception. However, I have a friend who just came home from Paris and London and she posts wonderful photos of her trips including these from London. They do a fabulous job of decorating their streets and stores at Christmas.

Bills are winning as I type this so keeping my fingers crossed. Sharon isn’t sure of her filming schedule for this week coming up. Apparently she will have one or two ‘guest’ artists so we will have to be surprised. Until then stay warm and Stay Safe!
P.S. - BILLS WIN!! BILLS WIN! BILLS WIN!
