Another Fun, Frigid Saturday

It's a balmy seven degrees as I write this, brrrr! It was warm and cozy in the store earlier today though. I stopped in to drop off a couple of kits for mailing and was able to see Alison and Mona. I looked like something the cat dragged in because it was the first time I was out of sweatpants and an ancient sweatshirt in days! I did catch Sharon's video earlier in the day and you will find the video HERE.

I don't have much to add except this photo of the new Tim Holtz release that Sharon spoke about. I pulled if off Sizzix on Facebook so I know I'm safe in posting. I'm torn on these dies. They are really nice and I'm very drawn to them but some of them, especially the animals, have so many pieces. They make great layered images with all the pieces but I looked at one at the store today and it had 22 pieces! 22 pieces for one image of a penguin with a Christmas scarf and present. I'm anal enough to try and cut them out of the color of cardstock I want each individual piece to be vs. doing the logical way of cutting all the pieces out of white and then coloring each piece the colors I want (thank you Sharon). Either way many of these die sets require quite a bit of effort and vision. All that said, they make the most awesome images! I made a birthday card from one the animal dies for a little boy that is one of my most favorite cards ever.

Here is my funny for the day.

That's it for me for today. I've got Olympics to watch for the next two weeks. My eyes are going to be crossed by the end. Stay warm everyone, enjoy your inside and use the time to craft and Stay Safe!

P.S. - While her mother freezes in New York, my daughter casually texted me that she was spending a long weekend in Cabo...
