Hello Everyone!
Many of you may already know that my son, Zach, was in a traumatic work accident on August 11. That was a phone call that no parent wanted to receive but, we are incredibly blessed that Zach is still here and slowly recovering from his injuries. Zach sustained two cervical fractures and several fractures in his back. We are so grateful that Zach can walk with a walker and in a couple of weeks he will get more scans to check how the fractures are healing. I want to thank everyone for all of the beautiful cards and prayers that were sent our way--they were appreciated more than you know!
Since Zach was released from the hospital, he has been staying with me until he heals up a bit more. I have finally been able to work on a couple cards! It did feel good to be creative again! (FYI--depending on how things are going here I may be late posting some weeks)
For these cards, I used a new die set from HoneyBee called Lovely Layers Autumn Bouquet. There are so many possibilities with this set! I decided to use traditional fall colors (Fall is my favorite time of year!!) but, I can see myself using turquoise and some deeper rust colors too! On the package of this set, there is a sheet that shows how to attach the flowers to the stems, very helpful!
Supplies used:
--HoneyBee: Lovely Layers Autumn Bouquet and Bountiful Banner stamp/die
Once again, I want to thank everyone for keeping my son and family in your thoughts and prayers--God is good!
Have a very crafty week-- Kim
