A Little of This, a Little of That

I feel like a I’ve been away on a vacation as I haven’t had anything to post since last week. All relaxing things must come to an end. Sharon did a video Wednesday night and Mona did a post on Friday and Sharon squeezed a short post in on Saturday before her Junk Journal class. Where was I? Good question, I’ve been unusually busy with making more Christmas cards, appointments, family paperwork and a million other things including going back for more physical therapy (it’s all good).

I’ve gone through my screen shots and I’ve streamlined both Sharon’s and Mona’s videos. Both are instruction heavy so I’m going to recommend you check out both videos on our YouTube channel when they are posted. Let’s get started. First up may be some repeat photos but I’ll throw in a reminder that we have gift certificates available in store AND on-line for a perfect stocking stuffer! We’ve got LOTS of foils for your glimmer machines!

After Christmas we have a lot of winter left, brrrr! These little guys are perfect for your winter cards.

Sharon featured two gift card holders in her Wednesday video. This one has several samples and comes with a die for a matching envelope! Think of all that fun Christmas paper you bought, great way to use it up! As you can see from the product photo, your gift card stands up in the center of the card holder which is a card itself.

These are the dies included. The large die on the outside is the envelope die.

The dies that are nested inside form the mats and the envelope back.

Here is Sharon’s sample in white.

Sharon created another card holder with holiday papers.

A snowflake motif was enhanced with these dies and foiled plates.

Sharon liked this large sentiment set from PhotoPlay.

In another sample Sharon shared she used this die from Taylored Expressions along with glitter foam. It cuts very easily and we have it in a variety of colors.

Another sample Sharon shared featured had paper with coffee cups. Perfect for your Tim’s or Starbuck’s gift cards!

The inside of the green glitter tree card with one of those sentiments from the PhotoPlay set shown above.

Here are the finished samples Shaon shared.

On Friday Sharon shared another 3-D die cut from iCrafter. The second photo is one Mona made.

Sharon is intrigued with this die from Pretty Pink Posh. Below is a sample Kim made. We even have the little tree disks she mounted her glittery tree on.

Sharon shared several of her must have go-to’s. First up is the Score Buddy. This is a must for me and is a permanent tool in my travel/class bag. It even comes with a very nice zip close soft bag for easy transport.

We all love blending brushes. Here are three great choices. First, on top, are the two Pink & Main brushes. These are great for backgrounds. Sharon has one for blue (sky) and a brown brush she uses for large spaces. Below the Pink & Main is an in-door special. Waffle Flower has a 10 brush, color coded set that is currently on sale.

The ‘Stampendable’ tool is a savior for your hands when you are using a stamp positioner like a MISTI. The large felt face and hand sized knob makes it easier to press your inked stamp evenly over your paper while in your MISTI. It’s a ‘don’t stamp without it’ tool for me and many others.

Back to Mona. Using this iCrafter die (I believe you get the full die to make the matchbook), Mona made Santa’s house (inside the matchbook) complete with a door that opens to reveal a little Christmas tree. Mona went through this project step by step, much to detailed to show here. Check out the YouTube video.

Sharon also got in new pet papers. Not only are dog and cats featured bit there is a page with cut outs for hamsters, fish, birds and other popular pets.

Always a big favorite, Doodlebugs stickers. This first is a shaker!

More Doodlebug epoxy stickers.

SimpleStories - Vintage Winter Woods collection

Sharon has a thing for purple. So when she sees purple anything, she orders it! Paper, flowers and ephemera packs.

PhotoPlay Winter Chalet ephemera.

Tim Holtz Watercolor pencils are back in stock, collection 1, the most requested.

New powder sprays from Lindy’s. The powder is already in the bottle. It gives you a pour line to add water then shake and spray. We have it in multi packs and individual colors.

I can’t resist. I love the bling! The clay-like Sprinkletz and the sequin/bead/bugle collections, so fun!

My funny for today is also my reality! I’m back to wearing leggings for PT. My daughter and I are planning a long weekend in Paris in March and I seriously need to strengthen my core so I can keep up with her!

I’ll be back, hopefully in a more timely manner after Wednesday’s video. Until then Stay Warm, Stay Crafty and Stay Safe!
