So How You Doin'???

I love Friends. It was a great TV show and all the characters were people I really liked. I'll be honest, I'm not a Seinfeld fan. Jerry Seinfeld comes from my home town, but I just never got it. Friends on the other hand, I could watch all day! So whenever I hear myself say, "How are you doing?" I hear Joey Tribiani saying "How You doin'?"

I hope this finds everyone doing well and feeling good. I've got a few product photos and Friday's Facebook video from Sharon. She will be in the store tomorrow, Saturday, March 28th from 10-1 filling out orders so if you see anything you'd like or are running out of adhesive, give her a call. She will be available for no contact curbside pick-up if you call ahead.

First up is last nights video:

Now for a few new product photos. First up are new flowers from 49 Market. Several of these are not your typical rose buds. I see a new variety of not only flowers but greenery.

Stamp Market always has a dynamic release. I really like that plaid patterned background die. I may have to do an on-line order!

Now forgive me if this is a repeat. As I've said in the past, Sharon, Jess, Janelle and I share a text thread. So sometimes I get photos that are meant for Jess and vice versa. If it's not a repeat, here's a new border die from Creative Expressions!

We are re-stocked on this very popular background die from Lawn Fawn (this may be another on-line order...)

Saying Hi! to Stephanie in Canada. I'm missing your class today because of our travel bans and lockdowns. But, I have the latest MFT release. (Again, I apologize if this is a repeat from a past post).

Lastly, adhesive alphabets from Simple Stories. I used these all the time as a scrapbooker. They come in different sizes and fonts.

I've been evicted from my craft room (just the computer part) by my daughter who is working from home and using my computer. So I have been down at the dining room table (where I usually sit) doing two of the On-line Classes that I bought at Christmas time. This is a practice sheet for skin and hair from the Coloring with Copic Markers class. I also have a watercolor class which I hope to get to next week. That one should be fun. What are you all working on?

Lastly, how many of you fit this...?
Have a SAFE WEEKEND, go out, take a walk, go on a 'Bear Hunt'. If you know what I'm talking about leave me a comment and tell me if there are any 'bears' in your neighborhood. Crafting is therapeutic and I'll see you next week.

I'm So Excited!

There isn't much to get excited about these days but I've found something...

Buffalo Stamps and Stuff On-line Store is OPEN!

We went live last night and orders are already coming in. Thanks to the fantastic work of Jessica who found an on-line vehicle that would work best for our store, did all the inputing, downloading of photos and making sure we have a store that will work for not only our customers but for Sharon also and all while being a stay-home mom to two kids under 5 years of age! Talk about Wonder Woman! (In all fairness I do have to give a shout out to Scott, who has been home for a good portion of the time too, thanks Scott!)

We are proceeding slowly. We have several categories of product up and more items under each category will be added daily. We are concentrating on basics and seasonal specialties. For example, Easter isn't too far away and we may not be able to spend the holiday with family, but you will be able to send them a handmade Easter card featuring Easter stamps! We are also adding new releases as we receive them. An example is My Favorite Things. We just got in the newest release and will be adding those stamps and dies to the store. Keep in mind, like the brick and mortar store, we order in small quantities so that we can give you the widest range of companies and products. Once our supply is gone, it may be a while before we get more due to the slowness of production and once seasonal or holiday specific dates have passed it's not always timely to reorder unless we have a specific request.

I've tried to take a few photos off the the website to show you what you will see in terms of categories. You click on 'SHOP' under any of these categories and you will see what is available. I've read a few comments on Facebook that have been positive in terms of the ordering procedure, but please remember this is still a work in progress. Sharon will be shipping out orders as quickly as possible and Jess will be adding to the on-line store every day.

I also have two new product photos for you. The first is our new Buffalo Stamp and Die set. This is in our on-line store under 'Exclusives'. The stamps set and matching dies are sold together. Please note the size of the stamps. The two together retail for $10.99

I mentioned My Favorite Things and here is a photo of some of the new release we have received. I am seriously bummed that Stephanie is restricted to her side of the border and will not be able to come for class this weekend. Maybe we can get her to do a video and send us the kits! Well, this will be your chance to get your rainbow on and play with sprinkles and cupcakes!

It's hard to find a funny to end with these days but I think this one may ring true for soooo many of us!
I know it is in my house! You all STAY SAFE and we will see you again real soon.

BSS IDEA - EASTER BUNNIES

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

The sad day has come, the store is closed until further
notice.  Sharon is posting everyday on Facebook and
showing new "stuff" that is coming in.  Also planning
a new online store which should be up and running soon.

I stopped in on Saturday, to pick up some supplies so
I can continue to show you some new stuff that was in the store.
It is such a shame, because the store is jam packed with
all the new stuff that Sharon ordered at the show, but
she is taking orders and shipping to folks as needed.

Easter is just around the corner.  Here are some sweet
bunnies to brighten up your day.

Stamp set - NorthWoods Rubber Stamps (NO-081)
Blue Card stock, Woodgrain designer paper, Frame - Gina Marie Designs Stitched Rectangles
Corners from a set of dies by Spellbinders Tiara Rondelle (S5-342)
Pink Enamel Dots - Gina Marie Designs
Colored with Copics

That's it for me this week.'

Please take care and keep safe.

Thanks for stopping by today
Until next week...

Last Call :-(

OK, so you hopefully have heard that because of the governor's order to shut down all non-essential businesses, today is the last day our store front will be open. Now there are two important parts, OK maybe three important parts of this statement.

1. Today is the last day - the store will be open from 11-3:00 pm. We posted previously that we would not be open but due to the latest mandate from the state we WILL BE OPEN TODAY, Sunday, March  23rd!

2. I said our STORE FRONT, our brick and mortar store. The one you can walk in and interact with people and actually touch and examine everything. Sad, yes, but are we totally closed??? NO! We will be opening an ON-LINE STORE! Sharon and Jessica are working really hard on getting an on-line store up and working for you. I'm sorry I do not have more information than that. I'm not sure how much of our store inventory we will have available on-line, but I'm sure Sharon will be updating us all with all the details as soon as we are ready to go live!

3. Non-Essential Business??? This man is obviously clueless! As we all know, Buffalo Stamps and Stuff is far, far removed from being a non-essential business. It is our happy place, our creative escape, our inspiration, our safe zone and so much more.

Sharon will be doing videos from home (as soon as Mark finds her tri-pod for filming. You have no idea what their garage looks like, OMG!) and we will be posting on Facebook and Instagram, sending out email updates, and posting here on the blog. We will do everything we can to keep you updated and provide you with a little escape from our big escape!

So it may be Last Call for walking into BSS in person for a-while but we will be available to you in the coming weeks to help you get through this community wide, state wide, country wide, world wide crisis. You are not alone, we are not alone and we will get through this by working together and looking out for each other. So, until I see-you, see-you, take care of yourself and one another and STAY SAFE!!
Happy Crafting, Donna

My last, I promise, post for Friday!

First up, I hope you are all staying safe, in home, with hand sanitizer and washing your hands. I asked my husband to bring home Dial antibacterial soap (liquid) if they had it at BJ's. He texts me back they do, in a package of 22! So I text him back and tell him if he's allowed to bring that home and isn't hoarding OK. Sure enough he comes home with NOT 22 Dial liquid soap dispensers, but 22 BARS of Dial soap! (and we still have no hand sanitizer!)

Sharon did another Facebook Video, the link is below. I then have photos for you as a follow-up. After Sunday's shutdown I'm hoping Sharon can treat the store as a distribution center and just fill orders that can be mailed or picked up at the door. Sharon shares some other ideas she has in this video. My photos will follow.

Sharon's Friday Facebook Video

Here are my photos (I feel like I posted these before?) Anyway, new fancy cuts from Creative Expressions!

For you Alcohol Ink mavens out there. Alcohol Ink Art Panels - use all those great technique ideas you got from Laura Cott and create your own ink masterpiece!

Sharon talks about these in her video. The outside packaging is wild, but you can see when you turn it around and look at the stamp that it is a rather simple outline design. The creative artwork you see on the packaging is just inspiration for you. Go traditional or kick it up a notch, or more!

Sorry, I can't read the maker on these, but they would be great for coloring and maybe some label/envelope art? Just an idea...

Last up for today is a card class featuring these delightful Stampingbella Flower Girls. Sharon has kitted up this class and it's ready to go! Call and we can set one or more kits aside for you for mail or pick-up. Perfect to take home and color while you are binging "The Great British Baking Show" on Netflix! (It's one of my recommended feel good shows if your anxiety level is starting to ratchet up).

That's it for Friday. If I get any more news about next week I will share it with you here along with any other new photos I may get. Stay safe to you all. See you soon.

Just a little more...

Hopefully I can add yesterday's video to this post along with an update on hours.
Sharon's Thursday Video
https://www.facebook.com/sharona.klima/videos/2763939413688741/?t=1

Hours for this weekend:
Today, Friday, March 20th 10-6 pm
Saturday, March 21st 10-4 pm
Sunday, March 22nd - CLOSED
With the mandate to prohibit all non-essential personal, I do not know how next week will pan out but I will post as soon as I get an update from Sharon.

I do have a few photos from the store. I was in briefly yesterday to drop off card kits for the Lawn Fawn class. If you are interested there are photos on line. These kits can be put together with the help of the Lawn Fawn and Jennifer McGuire videos. Both do a great job of showing you how to assemble these interactive dies.

On to the photos! At the back of the store behind the tables we have a great display of paper glazes, stamps, dies and an awesome 12 inch slide style cutter. These glazes have great colors and the Studio Katia and Picket Fence stamps and dies are really fun.

As I walked around I took in several of the new displays and these guys just tickled my fancy! Who doesn't love a chick with rabbit ears!

Up along the front register counter were these awesome Stampendous cling stamps. I've got photos of card samples along with an attempt to show the stamps themselves. I am a sucker for a good llama!

I also spied new Washi Tape and a card that I really liked, so simple. Sharon has a great tip for getting theses long rolls of Washi Tape successfully off the rolls. As you may have experienced Washi tape is rather fragile and tears easily. With these longer rolls you may have problem pealing it off the roll a piece long enough to cover your card as in the photo. Sharon's tip is to gently start your  peal off the roll and put it on your bone folder! Gently pull the tape off the roll with the bone folder applying even pressure and contact across the roll. It will help you make this gorgeous and now much easier card!

Lastly, for all of you getting a little house bound or experiencing cabin fever, if you are looking for a place to go this weekend, here's an idea...

Thanks to our very own Dawn for this funny of the day. Stay safe everyone and we'll be back with updates as soon as we get them.

Facebook Video...

Here is Sharon's video from today's Facebook post. I will apologize in advance, the video is sideways! Not quite sure why my view came out that way, but you can still see and hear all the new stuff and the updates Sharon has. Please feel free to leave a comment or a request at the bottom of this post. I'll do my best to answer any questions or help you with any requests you may have of the store. Enjoy!

Sharon's Facebook Video!

It's a Brave New World! UPDATE!

OK, I was gone last week on my bi-annual scrapbook retreat (more on that later). While I was gone the world went on lockdown. So, first off I want to address the store and our operating hours and changes in procedures if you decide to come visit us.

First and foremost, we are OPEN! Our hours have changed and are subject to modification due to the emergency conditions we are all operating under. Sharon has been sending out e-mails and posting on Facebook all hour changes and updates. I have been in touch with Sharon via text messaging and have not been in the store since last Wednesday.

The store has been open from 10:00-3:30 all of this week (check your e-mails as we may be adjusting those hours for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
UPDATE: We are looking to keep the store open one night a week to about 7pm. We are also looking to be open on Saturday, but with shorter hours and we are closing on Sundays for the immediate future.

We understand if you are joining us in practicing an abundance of caution, but to prevent you from getting cabin fever, we are attempting to post a video on Facebook, at 12 pm TODAY,  featuring all the new items we have. You can call the store if you see something you would like and we are offering the following options to purchase items you may want.

     1. We will set aside anything you may want to purchase for pick-up later.
     2.  We will mail your purchase to you.
     3.  Call ahead and we can arrange curb-side pick-up

As I said, the store is open. We will ask that you wash your hands or sanitize them when you first come in and we practice safe distancing while you are in the store.

We are looking to possibly suspending classes for the time being. However, we will have class kits for sale for those classes that can be done independently. UPDATE: We are looking into the possibility of holding classes but limiting the number who can attend so we practice safe distancing.

I will be back with more info and pictures from today's Facebook post for those of you who are not on FB but would like to see what's new! I will try and import the video to another post.

Finally, for today and everyday, STAY SAFE, practice your social distancing, hand washing and good  cleaning practices. We look forward to seeing you all again, soon.

All our best, the staff of Buffalo Stamps and Stuff 💗💗💗

BSS IDEA - LOVELY FLOWERS

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF IDEA.

Wasn't it nice to see the sun yesterday?  Even though it was cold outside
the sunshine always makes things  better.

Today's card used one of Penny Blacks new release flower stamps.

I photographed it with two different backgrounds.

Stamp - Penny Black - Harmony - 40-682
Yellow and white card stock
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Spellbinders word die
Waffle Flower oval dies
Colored with water color markers

I stamped and embossed the image and colored.
I stamped it a second time and colored three of the flowers,
fussy cut them and mounted them with foam pads onto the
original stamped image.

A versatile stamp that can be used for so many occasions.

That's it for me this week.

Thanks for stopping by
Have a good week.
Until later..........

I'm So Confused!

Well, not that confused, but confused enough! Here's my story. I didn't work last weekend and I came in Tuesday night for a class and I couldn't find stuff! Sharon has really made a huge effort to reorganize and re-imagine the store. So I give up! It changes every time I walk in. So I will post a lot of photos for you, but if you come in tomorrow and ask me where this stuff is - I haven't a clue!

Here we go! Penny Black has a huge release and a big new area here in the store. Seriously, have fun finding it. I mean it, have FUN finding it!

Wow, that's a lot of new stamps and dies! Many of these would be great with watercoloring. As a last reminder, we have one more round of Stamp Camp coming up on the 7th and Laura Cott will be back for an encore class this month. Sharon has gotten in more watercolor supplies for those of you who are interested and for those of you who would like to dabble.

That's all for me this week. I seriously need to study the store tomorrow so I won't be Dazed, er Aged and Confused! Have a great week and happy crafting.
